It's a other year, another walk, another challenging path unfolding in the distance. The figures are blurry in my vision but the memories are alive as always.

Jayne pulls the woolen cap down over her ears and heads out into the cold windy freezing night. A hot cup of coffee would be a treat for her after a tiring hectic day in the office.

She wandered down the streets of the familiar sound of music of the 60s.

A glance over her shoulders brought her to the door of reality. He was gone forever. There was just the the howling of the wind. So fierce as if attacking her and aiming at her jacket to rip off her body. She had to make a dash for the last bus before she finds herself walking home alone.

Seated at her now warm harmlet she sipped her favourite coffee and gazed into the sky above. The moon by now was peering through the clouds. She saw a sad face and stopped to look again. Sadly it was only in her memory. Another of those nights of haunting memories.

'It's two months away Mr moon a birthday just round the corner'. She was terrified for she had to come to terms with his departure. How could she say Happy birthday to a ghost in her mind.

It pierced her heart everytime she thought of that day. Everytime she'd say please come back darling it killed her more.

If on the day words fail to come out from her lips that would mean disaster for her. It would remain haunting her memories and she was scared to her bones.

Her passion for music saw no way out of her life of loneliness. The harder she tried to compose a song for him the clearer it became words had failed her. She was doomed. She would never bring out the words in a song to wish him a birthday in heaven. For she missed him so much to let him go. He was the love of her life and was very much alive in her life.
