The thing that stings

The thing that stings

Schooling back then was fun. The many activities that motivated me to explore my potential of which in life it has groomed me into who I am today.

But the thing that stings is the thought of wanting to serve more. The eagerness to mold lives to be like you and me. For this generation, life has no real meaning for many today. Is it because of the slumps and broken shattered homes they are groomed and molded from? These questions penetrate my heart and it hurts each day. I meet a life wasted in the filth of this technology and development of no wealth but destruction to many lives in a developing nation like mine.

Education is of no value to many children these days. Their concentration span is limited. Their determination to gain access to more knowledge is of no good use. They waste their time hanging onto their mobile phones. Their eyes are closed to the benefits in the long run. Is it because we spoon-feed them too much? Is it because we get what they want when they ask? Schooling was fun for me but not for the children of today.

So you are to be blamed when schooling is no longer fun where learning is also fun?
