What To Gift????

It was a sunny Monday afternoon, and people were busy with their daily routines. The clock was ticking 3:00 pm. He was tense.

Within a few minutes, he heard the cries ofa baby girl. She was small, cute, with baby pink skin tone. Her mother was very happy, with a great sigh of relief for the new life she had brought into the world. He slowly moved into the ICU and looked at her. He was greatly delighted looking at the new baby girl beside her mother, but he just had a small smile on his face due to his introverted nature.

People were celebrating the merry occasion at home. The baby girl was in a sense of wonder, noticing the new world she had arrived in. Her mother took her onto her lap, and he fed the baby a homemade traditional sweet as part of the cultural event. The baby closely looked at him and licked the sweet, making him happy.

With days passing, the baby girl started to learn words like "amma," "tha," and "na" with various sounds. He was very eager to hear her calling him "nanna" (father).

There came a day when she called him "nanna" (father). This made him very joyous, yet a sense of great responsibility and care flashed in his mind, with thoughts of whether he could bring her up well and make her happy. Even this time, this introverted man just smiled and looked ahead.

With time passing, the baby girl turned into a school student. She learned tables in seconds and recited slokas so well at her comfortable place with her father and mother at 5-6 years old.

He was very enlightened at her child's talent, hoping for a bright future.

The girl found the school atmosphere to be totally new with anonymous faces, but slowly she started to adjust and learn at her pace. She seemed to have inherited his introverted nature too, calm yet studious at school.

At times, he used to get furious with her, maybe due to his work pressure. The girl was quite emotional when it came to her father, tears started rolling down her eyes spontaneously.

Yet, she felt very comfortable and confident holding her father's finger and walking whenever they went outside. He was always there for her to fulfill all of her tiny wishes, may it be having a chocolate, wanting a toy, a pink gown, or celebrating her birthday with a surprise.

There was a funny yet naughty incident with her father. Probably she was 6-7 years old, and her father bought a new phone. This girl spontaneously grabbed it and dropped it in a bucket of hot water, her childish thinking meant she was cleaning the phone along with her Barbie doll toys. Looking at this, her father felt anger at once but looking at her innocent face, he just laughed with her.

The memorable moments included having an ice cream with her father after seeing a dentist to fill her cavity, maybe twice a month.

Most of her traits, like being a bookworm or finding satisfaction out of learning, were because of his influence. Years passed by, and this girl completed her schooling with good grades.

He was quite happy, but even this time, we could see only that tiny smile over his cheeks, the same as with the girl.

He bought her favorite sweet and congratulated her at her successful moments, and just smiled.

Whatsoever may be the case, the girl always keeps looking for her father's approval. His opinion always meant a lot to her, though she never expressed that.

Well, there were instances too where they both played the roles of Tom and Jerry, starting a never-ending argument. Most of the time, this girl's scientific and bookish thinking and her father's conservative approach stood at two opposite poles.

Yet, this girl was so stubborn.

There were days where she used to get restless with her father at some circumstances, but finally, she came to the right conclusion that his approach made her strong to face challenges, though it seemed difficult at times.

His way of living was so simple that it inspired the young girl to stay simple.

One day, this girl went to the hospital for a blood test with her papa. When the nurse started filling the syringe, he instantly closed his eyes at the sight of blood flowing from his daughter's hand and advised her not to get afraid. This girl kept looking at that with wonder. She was never afraid of blood or the hospital atmosphere; added to that, she found it interesting and appealing. She greatly felt the care her father had for her in such cases.

Though he seemed aloof, he was quite sensitive and emotional at heart.

There were many instances where the girl was able to find her full potential and succeed, rather than limiting herself to her own way of thinking. This again was the impact of her father's words that deeply imprinted on her mind.

Although the girl and dad never seemed so close, she admired him the most, and he cared for her the most, and both were quite introverted individuals by nature.

Such a beautiful relationship it is.

One day, the girl sat down and started thinking deeply. It was her papa's birthday the next day, and she was confused about what she should gift him.

What to gift?

She started penning down her thoughts and beautiful memories, hoping this would prove to be the best ever gift. Well, she even had a will to fulfill great dreams and make him feel proud.

What could she expect as a return gift from her papa other than his utmost care and support for her dreams? Well, that's the most wonderful thing for her.
