THE MYSTERIOUS FRIEND!!

Wake up, Herbert !!! wake up!! its already 6 am ..your coach has assembled on the ground.....Hearing the yells of his mom, Herbert lazily moves his body and wakes up!! At once, on noticing the clock...hastily he gets himself arranged for the cricket match practice in the ground! In a sense of hurry, he satisfied himself with the sandwich lying on the table and runs to the playground area! On reaching the playground, he notices that the match had already been started...and his coach wouldn't allow him to be a part of either team....Herbert decides to sit and watch the match..as his apology of being late for the 5th time continuously won't at all be accepted!

  In a sense of disguise, he sits and watches the match!  ''SIX!''.....' It's a no ball'...'.Run out'...Watching the match and hearing this commentary on one side....he gets lost in his thoughts on the other side!! He looks at his friends playing the match and feels extremely sad that none of his friends requested the coach to wait for him to be a part of their team! At once he thinks to himself that his mother was also not a good friend...as she woke him up at 6..instead..if she was half an hour early, he could get ready on time! Then he remembers his snoopy. .his pet dog. .that barked till late at night which didn't let him sleep earlier! He starts to have a feeling of loneliness that he never ever had any true friends...if he had any, then he would have not missed the match since the past few days! That day after the match ..he returns back home and gets ready and leaves for his school.

That day, Herbert got himself isolated from all his friends and sits in a bench, in fact away from his best friend Robert! Their teacher enters the room and takes the attendance. She gets herself to the board and writes the title with a black marker as ''FRIENDSHIP''!! She turns towards the students and narrates the poem on friendship. then she notices Herbert being isolated and asked him if he had no friends? Herbert stood up and looked at his friends and turned back with a sad face and responded ''NO'' Mam! Immediately his friends responded ..No mam ..Herbert is our very good friend...The teacher questioned Herbert for his loneliness amidst his friends around him...Herbert narrates all his thoughts that no one was his true friend at the time of difficulty .......The teacher listens to all these with patience and then replies to him...

''Look, Herbert,....Do you know about your mysterious friend??

Herbert answers...mysterious friend ???NO mam...I don't know....

The Teacher says ..'' That's alright...let me tell you.....

There is one true friend...but he is quite mysterious.....

..he is always with you ..yet you don't recognize him.....

.he is always ready to help you, yet you don't always accept that helping hand....

Most of all ..he always motivates you to succeed, but you rarely understand his support.....

He is within you ..within your mind.. within your thoughts ..and is none other than YOU ..YOURSELF!!!!!

A PERSON IS HIS OWN MYSTERIOUS FRIEND,....AND THE ONLY TRUE FRIEND!!!''

In a sense of awe...Herbert replies.....ME??????

The teacher answers...YES! It's ultimately you only......not your classmates or your family....If you get to know the mysterious friend inside you, then obviously you would get to know the true friends around you !! 

In a sense of epiphany, he answers....SORRY MAM...I got to know my mistake...it was my carelessness and laziness...that let me not succeed.....my friends asked me to be early the past three days,..my mom came to wake me up on time ..yet I was lazy...I DO HAVE MANY TRUE FRIENDS AROUND ME!!

And I would definitely say..MY Teacher would be my best true friend!!

The teacher feels happy for his realization. .and laughs out for his answer...all his friends surround him...and they all had a good time with each other...
