Vikram And Betaal

Vikram was an honest police officer and Mrs.Singh's only child. Vikram had lost his dad who was also a senior police officer when he was just 5 years old.

It was only recently Vikram got acquainted with the bitter truth of his dad's death. His dad was working on one of the high profile criminal cases and was ready with the evidences to expose the people involved but due to betrayal from his own team and under influencers, Mr Singh got trapped and was killed but his death was shown by officer Ranjeet as a self-defence act when he recorded Mr Singh was not an honest officer and involved with criminals so had to be shot in defense.

Vikram, like his dad was a fierce, honest police officer and was determined to bring justice to his father, mother and change in the system. Finally the day arrived and Vikram got promoted to Jablapur, the same place where his dad had served and breathed his last.

It was just few days since Vikram was assisting on his first case assigned at Jablapur, he was now well acquainted with the system and also aware of influential powerful people outside the police force. One fine day, an immediate meeting of all senior officers was called; an air of tension among all officers was evident. The reason for the meeting was obvious, the latest mysterious deaths of many A-listers (who were criminals).

The police team along with Vikram started investigating the mysterious deaths but couldn't visibly understand any; with each death, the killer had written a note which mentioned the closed case no filed against the victim and undersigned as Betaal. With each day, the tremor of Betaal was increasing and the police officers were helpless. Already 50 deaths were recorded, the complete police force along with Vikram was in search of Betaal.

The next on case serial no. was Mr Siren. The police force decided to give full security system to Mr. Siren owing to the death threat. Vikram personally took in charge for the safety of Mr. Siren along with his team and on Siren's request, additional double security was given.

Vikram had suggested he will be 24 hrs with Mr. Siren to protect him and guard his life. That night Mr. Siren along with officer Ranjeet was having dinner and discussing how they as a team had worked in past to benefit both. Vikram was trying hard to control his fist in front of Ranjeet, who he knew had betrayed and killed his dad but remained calm.

After a while, Mr Siren came running out from the washroom for help, " It's him, he is here," he shouted. When Vikram went to the washroom he read on the mirror a note written, "I am Back" with bloodstain which Beetal had undersigned and soon there was a sound of a blast. Everyone got terrified, Vikram took Mr Siren and Ranjeet safely out of the bungalow and drove the car to an under-construction site.

Mr. Siren and Ranjeet thanked Vikram for saving their life. Vikram removed his revolver and aimed at both of them and said, " Now it's a safe place with no one to save you both from me."

Siren and Ranjeet were stunned and ordered him to throw the revolver. Vikram confessed he was only Betaal and working with his team of honest officers to punish these criminals because as an officer, I will have limitations to serve justice because people like you will influence and trap death as you did for my Dad, officer Ranjeet and he explained his background. So I had to be Betaal to form an authority because people will change, laws will change but only what remains is authority. Ranjeet pleaded for life and confessed he had betrayed his dad and killed him and charged with a false accusation.Vikram records.

Betaal aka Vikram shoots Siren and Ranjeet. He then informs the team of police that Ranjeet shot Siren and in self-defence, Vikram had to shoot officer Ranjeet, he then gives evidence of the record of confession Ranjeet made which proved he was dishonest and betrayed the entire office team.

The Jabalpur office staff and government honour Mrs. Singh and apologize for all the false accusations laid on her husband. Meanwhile Vikram is promoted but the mystery of Betaal still remains unsolved.
