With no one present in the compartment to rescue him, Monty had no choice but to confront his enemy who was beaming with confidence. He had to rummage through his thoughts bucket to pick one which could help him get rid of the enemy. Romero's henchman swung his dagger at Monty but the latter evaded the blow. Before he could turn back to try his luck again, the boy wrenched his hand with enough exertion which made him slip his dagger. Monty let out a scream as he slashed the throat of his enemy who convulsed his way to death. An air of hatred lingered around Monty as he vowed to end the menace of the tormentor who killed his father and abducted his mother. The seed of violence germinated in his mind which set ablaze the peace-loving territory of his mind. It's been fifteen years since the incident materialized and the hatred for Romero had not diminished one bit. Romero who happened to learn about Madhumitha's son, chalked out a plan which seemed savage on the cards. He picked up Rinku's phone and dialled Monty's number and the latter picked up the phone.

"Do you have any iota of information about your mother?" He asked.

The moment he heard about his mother, his life energy throbbed hard and his limbs shook. His enemy had managed to rake up the past again.

"Where is my mother?" Monty asked with tears trickling down his face.

"Your mother is in my custody. If you want her alive you have to come here alone or else I will burn her alive," he warned.

"I don't trust my enemy. You are churning out a crooked plan to trap me under the pretext of letting me know about my mother's presence."

Romero strode towards the cell which housed Madhumitha and she couldn't believe her ears when Romero asked her to speak to her son.

"Monty, my son! Where are you? Thank God! You are safe under the arms of almighty himself."

It's been fifteen years since he heard the voice of his beloved mother and the flooded emotions broke him down as he struggled to find words.

"Mom..."

Romero barked out at Monty to come within tomorrow or else he will burn Madhumitha as he pledged. Monty warned Romero of the dire consequences if he burns his mother and promised to turn up the next day. Romero cut the call and broke into wicked laughter all set to execute his savage plan into action.

The dawn jolted Monty awake as he quickly scrambled back to his feet with tears on his face hurrying him to materialize at Romero's spot to see his beloved mother. He pulled himself on his exorbitant bike and inexorably rode it towards his enemy's place. Romero who was restlessly waiting for Monty was finally able to see him.

"You moron! Where is my mother?" he barked?

"Welcome to Romero's jungle and the animal you are looking for is safely protected in a cell. The broken freaking animal is waiting on its toes to see it's child. Since I am the king of the jungle I will offer you a chance to see your mother in person," Romero gestured to his henchman to bring Madhumitha.

Nothing seemed significant to Monty except his mother at the moment. His legs gave away and he sank looking at the sorry state of his mother. The sight of her torn saree, weary face, chain clasped to her hands was indeed a painful sight to watch.

"Now the king of the jungle lets you two embrace each other. We will close our eyes to ensure we don't get affected by the flooding emotions."

The moment Monty ran to embrace his mother, he was welcomed with a shocker as his enemy shot a bullet into her forehead and she fell thud to the ground. Stunned by his mother's death, Monty stood motionless for a while unable to come to terms with the bitter reality.

"I thought your mother was the sole survivor of Shantinagar but now she has passed on the baton to you and you will be the sole survivor of Shantinagar."

Before Monty stormed at Romero to vent his anger on him, he was subdued by the latter's minions who brought him closer to his mother but did not let him touch her. Madhumitha breathed her last before uttering her final words, "Do not leave this bastard alive, Monty, kill him in the most heinous manner possible."

Monty had no backup to piggyback on and he was brutally thrashed by his enemies. Romero perennially hurled blows at Monty who eventually blacked out.

"Will this useless moron kill me? Maybe in his next life." Romero let out a shriek.

Motionless Monty was dragged into a cell wherein his mother was locked up for the last fifteen years. Romero decided to kill his foe on the night of Diwali to permanently close the chapter of Shantinagar. Monty who had been desperate to finish Romero was now in a pathetic condition with all his plans foiled. To add insult to his injury, even though his mother was mercilessly shot dead in front of his own eyes he was unable to avert the murder.

When he got back to his senses in the cell, he wept like a child. His best friend Rinku and now his mother Madhumitha fell prey to Romero. He banged his fist on the wall which was a mute spectator to his painful breakdown. The confinement promised to arouse painful thoughts to rekindle the incidents of the last two days over and over until his tears subside. He felt miserable that he could not avenge his parent's death. He slapped himself for being fallible in front of his infallible enemy. With no assistance, he believed he would die a loser failing to take revenge. He lunged forward and gripped the cell tightly venting out his helplessness. In the middle of the night, silence reigned supreme with everyone jolted into a slumbering world. Someone pulled open the cell and appeared in front of Monty, who looked flabbergasted at the sight of a man ahead of him.

"Rinku, are you still alive?"

Rinku pressed his forefinger on his lips signalling Monty to lower his voice.

"Romero believed that I am killed so they dumped me into a dustbin. I enacted to be killed but I am still alive. I have reconnoitered the entire place in the last two days and figured out a way out of this hell. Physically, we both are not in the shape to fight these bastards. Let us recuperate from these unforgettable blows and come back with our army to erase Romero's existence."

Romero nodded his head in affirmation.

They both discreetly pushed themselves out of the cell and jumped into a deserted storage room. Rinku said there was a hole in the storage room and they can drill it to make it even bigger so that they can find a way out of the hell. Before they could even start drilling, one of Romero's minions who could never grab his master's attention swung his way into the room to hog some limelight. He flicked on the torchlight and directed it in all directions before he viewed the silhouette of Rinku and Monty on a white wall. Before he could ring the emergency bell to alert his boss, Rinku closed his mouth with a napkin and he fell unconscious. Rinku went ahead and drilled the hole and both of them managed to squeeze through it as they reached the open ground. They were caught off guard when lights turned on to focus their energy on them. Both of them were red-handedly caught. There emerged Romero laughing his way into the open ground.

"I offer you a challenge to physically fight with me,"

Monty who was burning with rage for vengeance accepted the offer. Both of them portrayed their combat skills on the ground as they tossed each other. Monty believed this was his chance to avenge his family's loss. He charged down at Romero and hatred smouldered in his eyes. All painful incidents of the past seemed to have ushered in the mountain of strength in him as he quickly gained upper hand over his foe. His roused anger refused to subside and he pinned his enemy to the ground. His massive hands strangulated the enemy but what transpired next shocked him to the core. Rinku stabbed his friend from the back with a wide grin on his face. Monty widened his eyes unable to comprehend the reason why his friend turned into his enemy all of a sudden.

"Rinku..." words collapsed as he fell flat on the ground.

The cruel smirk on Rinku's face remained intact as he licked the blood laden knife and held his hand to bring Romero back to his feet.
