Vengeance- Rise Of The Fire-01
"Madness, Madness, Madness! It gives me happiness. Life without madness is filled with boringness which for me is equal to being lifeless," Monty remarked before slicing the throat of his enemy who convulsed like a puppet before breathing his last.
He closed his eyes with his blood-stained face evoking the response of a savage beast. Monty was on a killing spree with a clear intention to confront his biggest enemy Romero who was the don of the city, Rudranagar. People of Rudranagar had always been petrified by this monstrous man who had a savage history at his backdrop. No one showed the courage to even talk to him leave alone confront him. Once he made up his mind, he was an unstoppable monster who would never reconcile to others' advice but rather pursue his own decision which he deemed acceptable.
One day, Monty's friend, Rinku, discreetly visited Rudranagar to spy on Romero's location so that he can inform Monty who was boiling with rage to suck the life of his enemy. He was disguised as a labour worker to see to it that no one suspected where he had come from. Romero never liked people from other cities coming to what he deemed as his city. He ruthlessly murdered those from another place who had shown the courage to put their foot in his city. Rinku was aware of the ramifications if he gets red-handedly caught in the hands of Romero. Being extra vigilant is the need of the hour but he desperately wanted to assist his friend to get his hands on Romero. He tried his best to avoid people so that no one suspected him or penetrated his plan. A jeep filled with armed men zipped through the road in which Rinku was walking. The moment he heard the whizzing sound of the bullet, he scrambled behind a huge tree dotted at the side of the road. With his own eyes, he looked at the armed men who jumped out of the van and strolled towards the hotel to satisfy their appetite. Through their clamour, it became clear that they were Romero's henchmen and would certainly go to his location which he was desperate to find. His sharp eyes detected a handle between the four wheels of the car; he thought he could use it as leverage to zero in the location of Romero. With no one around the jeep, Rinku squeezed himself at the bottom of the jeep; when he heard the footsteps of the armed men approaching him, he quickly clasped two handles with both his hands to ensure there was a gap between his back and the road. The armed men slipped back to the jeep and roared it towards Romero's location. It was physically challenging for Rinku to hang around with the handle through the journey but he had enough stamina to endure the tough ride. His bleak eyes stirred with pleasure the moment he zeroed in on the location and his weary face blossomed to smile as he shared the location with his best friend, Monty. He had been clung to his own thoughts that he didn't realize a bouncer who stood behind him. His smile evaporated and sweat sprouted on his countenance the moment he glanced at the bouncer with a smirk on his face. He tried to evade the monstrous hand of the man but luck seemed to have not favoured him as he was dragged to the dark place inside. Romero beheld the fear symptoms of a guy who was flung at his feet. He picked him up by his collar, gazed at him from top to bottom, and roared like a wild beast before rendering a huge blow at his back. Rinku screamed in agony with no one to render him assistance. His mobile phone vibrated relentlessly which stirred the vision of Romero who picked up the phone.
"Hey, Rinku! Are you alright? I had been trying to call you for five minutes but you didn't pick up my call. Thank you for sharing my enemy's location. I am coming to shred my enemy's bones and get back my city Shantinagar."
The moment Romero heard the word, 'Shantinagar' anger penetrated through his body with the memories of the past flashing before his face. He thought he had extinguished every life of Shantinagar but this phone call seem to have stirred his anger to another level. Wild thoughts sprang up in his mind, he picked up a wooden log and thrashed Rinku to death with the latter's soul vanishing from the earth. He then made a phone call to Monty and with a wicked laugh invited him to attend the funeral of his best friend. Monty's imperious temper exploded after listening to his enemy's voice. His heart throbbed for his friend who laid down his own life to assist him in his pursuit. Enraged, he punched his chest and vowed to brutally kill his recalcitrant enemy who had been the reason for the inhumane massacre.
Let's take a trip to fifteen years back as Monty goes down his memory lane. Monty was a ten-year-old boy who lived a happy and contented life with his parents in the city of Shantinagar. The city was synonymous with peace and no one ever exercised violence in the beautiful place. His mother, Madhumitha went to the neighbour city Rudranagar as an invigilator for one of the degree board exams. Romero, who was a degree student had not prepped well for his exams and resorted to copying before he was red-handedly caught by Madhumitha.
"Can't you afford to prepare and write the exam on your own! Shame on you for trying to copy someone else's hard work. Get out of my class! You have been debarred," she snatched his answer sheet.
Romero had always been a rogue student who enjoyed bullying others; for the first time in his life, he was reprimanded by a stranger which irked him to the core. Some of them stifled their laugh. He couldn't get over the embarrassment which materialised in the exam hall and sowed hatred seeds in his mind.
'How can a lecturer from my neighbouring state humiliate me in front of my class? I will take this to an insane level by not only invading Shantinagar but also going on a killing spree until everyone in Shantinagar suffocates their way to death," he vowed.
His violent mind assured him that he would pull off the heist with no one coming his way to foil his wicked plan to massacre the people of Shantinagar who always honoured peace and humility. He joined hands with rogue men who had a proclivity towards violence and had the propensity to assault innocent men. His plan to turn the fertile city into an arid desert was set in motion when he and his minions invaded Shantinagar discreetly and massacred innocent men and women. Their late-night attack shook the entire city that was not prepared to handle such violence. Romero mercilessly killed Madhumitha's husband in front of her own eyes and the latter collapsed unable to consume the agony. Before her husband was murdered, she persuaded her son to leave the city as soon as possible to evade the hard blow from the ruthless bastards.
The only one from Shantinagar who escaped from the clutches of Romero was none other than Monty himself. The next day the entire city of Shantinagar plunged into miserable silence as dead bodies floated everywhere and blood flowed like a river. In contrast to what they stand for, violence had consumed the innocent people of the city. Monty, who had seen through his own eyes the death of his father was helpless and he was oblivious to what happened to his mother who was captured and was out in a prison. Romero believed that everyone from Shantinagar extinguished and Madhumitha was the only one left. Shantinagar was merged with his city and it was officially named Rudranagar. Monty, a ten-year-old kid who was commuting on a train was in for a shocker as one of their henchmen Romero had spotted and followed him. A wry smile brushed past his lips as he pulled out a dagger from his sheath all set to end the life of Monty who looked hapless at the moment.
