Unfulfilled Dream

All see dreams but a few get an opportunity to give them a practical shape and who fight till they convert their dreams into reality despite the existence of ample hurdles they actually deserve many more accolades.

 Lucy was the only child of her parents. Since her birth, she had witnessed her father's hate, ignorance, and unwillingness to tolerate her presence. Her mother was the only supporter to espouse her all emotions. But time always changes and the persisting situation took a different turn. Lucy's achievements defeated her father's annoyance for her. Once her father was invited for her school's annual function. When she was felicitated for her spectacular performance she told that her father's inspiration and support were responsible for her achievements and her father got amazed by listening that admiration for him. Lucy was delivering her speech keeping her tears inside her eyes so meticulously and her mother was wiping her tears so secretly with enormous joy and unprecedented pleasure from a great distance so that Lucy could not be able to notice her. In meanwhile, an astonishing incident occurred. Lucy's father rushed to the stage and hugged her daughter so tightly shedding the tears of repentance. That was the first time Lucy had felt her father's affection and she also cried embracing her father and her mother could not resist herself there and she also came there to become a part of that precious moment. All audience applauded and the whole hall was busy giving clappings.

Lucy's father could understand his fault and since that day he became an active part of her life. Her father accumulated so many dreams in her eyes for her daughter and he wanted to make her a known personality in the society though he had financial stringency. Society was never paying any prestige to him as he was financially poor and confronting the pervasive extent of poverty. Amidst all obstructions, Lucy was endeavoring hard to give a prestigious place to her father in society. Despite their adversities and afflictions, they tried to lead a happy life.

 But when God gives pain he doesn't consider anything. Everything changed within a short span of time. Lucy had a serious health issue and she needed treatment. With the passage of time, her health condition was deteriorating. Her mother and father were in a state of desperation. They had no support to gather help for her treatment. Everyone showed a cold response to their crying and pleading. Their hopes were devastated. One night Lucy became much serious and her father took her hospital carrying in his hands and rushed to the doctor with mingled hope and aspirations. She was hospitalized. The doctor strictly told without money nothing could be possible. Her parents were crumbled down being plagued by a slew of woes. Her mother was screaming recognizing the darkened tomorrow before her. Her father was sobbing with intolerable anguish and breathing the breath of repentance and hopelessness. Suddenly Lucy cried, Papa! Papa!

Her father ran towards her and clasped her hands. Lucy was crying bitterly and tears were flowing expressing her failure to convert her dream into reality. Still, she was confident about her dream and told she would definitely fulfill her promise in the next birth, and then she hugged her father and slept down on her shoulder silently. Her father screamed and cried, Lucy! Lucy! But there was no response. There was drizzling outside and the whole sphere was silent. Her mother was standing as a mute spectator with drenched eyes and suddenly sat down on the floor. There was no word from Lucy's mouth, there was no laugh from her lips, there was no dream in her eyes. She was sleeping happily on her father's shoulder. But she struggled hard till her last breath. 

 Since that day they became frustrated and lost all hopes to live. Her mother also passed away after some days of Lucy's death and her father lost his mental balance reminiscing Lucy's memories and his incapability to rescue her from the demon death. Lucy died but killed all reasons of her parents live. 

God gives pain but never considers anything. This is the mystery of his creation. But Lucy deserves copious praise as she had done the miracle. A daughter is not a burden but a precious treasure.
