THE UNTOLD MYSTERY

23 SEPTEMBER 2019, OOTY RESORT AT 4:30 AM:

In a resort near Ooty at 4:30 AM, surrounded by dense forests and a long-straight road following the resort, a woman, wearing a model dress with blue-coloured eyes seems like escaping from a police officer, who runs towards her with his gun.

"Praveen. Don't do anything to me." The women said to the police officer.

"I am sorry Sandhiya." Praveen triggers his gun and was about to kill her. However, as an act of self-defence Sandhiya grabs his gun tactfully and kills him. The case is filed as an act of self-defence.

ONE YEAR LATER 23 SEPTEMBER 2020:

Three days later, prior to this incident, DCP Praveen's family hires a prestigious criminal lawyer named Raghavendar for prosecution. Even the police hires him.

Sandhiya sits ablaze upon hearing this news. She asks to her lawyer Azeem, "Azeem. Isn't there any more way to get rid of this case?"

"There is no way left for us mam. But, we have one solution to escape from this case."

"What solution?"

"There is an officer in this district. He have solved many complicated cases mam. Money is like a mad bronze for him. We could seek his help in order to solve this case. His name is ACP Akhil." Azeem said.

She agrees and asks him to seek the police officer's help. Akhil is the corrupt cop in the city. The meaning of honesty and sincerity is no worth of value to him. Only money is God for him. Akhil makes sure that Raghavendra doesn't uncover any incriminating evidence.

The guy is in a live-in-relationship with his long love interest Yazhini, who is an investigative journalist in a TV channel. She loves him but, dislikes his corrupt character. She tried to change him. But, in vain.

FIVE DAYS LATER, 28 SEPTEMBER 2020:

Five days later, Akhil meets Sandhiya in a resort near to Ooty-Coonoor borders.

There, Akhil is taken to a room by Sandhiya where he asked her, "Sandhiya. To stand for the defense in-front of the court, I have to know about the full incident, that happened when you killed Praveen."

"Praveen forced himself and tried to rape me, sir. That's why I killed him as an act of self-defence." She tells by crying. As she continually proclaimed the same words, a frustrated Akhil reacts back by telling, "Just stop it Sandhiya. Just stop it."

Akhil shows a photo to Sandhiya and asked her, "He is your husband Hariharan right?"

"Yes. He is my husband Hariharan." Further, Akhil showcases a photo of Praveen and Sandhiya being together in a shopping mall, through Praveen's Facebook account. She reveals about her family background to Akhil.

ONE YEAR BACK, OOTY:

Sandhiya was a brilliant student in PAG Institute of Technology in Ooty. She was studying for Masters in Science. Hailing from a middle-class family background, she was the sole bread-winner of her family after her father got retired from Navy of Indian Army.

At that time, Sandhiya's distant relative Hariharan came to meet them. He is a musician and renowned businessman in Chennai. Her good and care-taking attitude impressed him. He decides to marry her and they both got married.

Then, they had got a one-year old baby daughter as a child after two years.

PRESENT:

"Then, what about Praveen? How did you both became friends?" Akhil asked her.

"We both became friends through Facebook." Sandhiya said to him.

RE-VISIT TO THE CASE:

Few days back, Sandhiya became addicted in using phones. Because, Hariharan got her such a costly mobile phone for her. Due to this, she didn't find time to spend with the family. Even failing to take care of her one-year old baby daughter.

She was constantly criticized by her family members and Hariharan's family. But, ignored their words and continued to use the phones. At that time, she co-incidentally met Praveen in Facebook and they both became friends.

Her happiness was shattered totally when few thieves entered into her house and killed Hariharan, taking a few costly items from their house and further injuring Sandhiya in the process.

PRESENT:

Akhil then tells to Sandhiya, "I have been working with a case of a missing person for one year."

"Which case is that?"

"It's about the missing case of SP Gokul Krishna. Your husband Hariharan's family friend."

A GLANCE INTO THE CASE:

Actually, Akhil refused to investigate the case when the officer's 25 year old son Aadhik asked him to handle the case, citing the pressures of superiors. But, after the insistence of his girlfriend Yazhini, he agreed to investigate the case and grew committed to helping the family, despite facing pressures to drop the case.

While investigating the case of Hariharan's murder and Gokul's missing case, he have found some connections and similarities in both the cases. Gokul was receiving calls from a police station near to Pykara of Ooty. His car was left damaged outside the building of the resort he owned.

One day, Akhil met Gokul's wife Radhika and his son personally in the house to get some minute clues for this case.

"I traced his call on that day. It showed somewhere in Pykara, Aadhik. He was present in that place, before disappearing." Akhil said to him.

"Sir. Actually, we gave a lift to a girl named Sreemukhi sir before my father got disappeared."

Akhil followed the last photo Gokul took to a hairpin turn on a road in Ooty, where he found a sideview mirror broken off from a black car. The car was traced back to a rental agency in Hyderabad, having been rented in the name of Sreemukhi Krishna by her husband, Praveen, who is based in the Pykara Police Station. Later, Vikram learned that Adarsh had snuck into an event in Hyderabad. Praveen was working at to confront him. He unintentionally confirmed that he knew Gokul and prepared to shoot Aadhik, but Akhil saved him. As they were leaving the event, Adarsh spotted the honored guest, "Sreemukhi", who is actually Sandhiya.

PRESENT:

Sandhiya starts to blink at him. Her face starts to sweat, with her throat searching for some words to reply him.

After a while, she drinks some water and tells to him, "No. It's all fabricated." She tried to deny his statement.

"Your old cellphone was found with Gokul's blood. How come it happened?"

Sandhiya then reveals about that incident to Akhil detailed.

OOTY RESORT, 23 SEPTEMBER 2020:

Sandhiya and Praveen were driving to Kothagiri for a rendezvous. While driving the car, she accidentally crashed into Gokul in a hairpin turn. A drunken Praveen accosted Gokul until Sandhiya intervened.

Actually, They arrived at a resort building. Praveen was planning to buy the resort and again met Gokul. But, refused to sell it.

"Why you won't sell it? Any reason?" Sandhiya asked him.

"I am the family friend of Hariharan and I know that you are his ex-wife." He advised Sandhiya to end her affair(so called friendship to many. But, illicit relationship) with Praveen. A furious Praveen suddenly punched him, causing him to stumble over the fencing on the overlook and fall into the forest a hundred feet below.

Gokul was barely alive when they rushed down.

"Praveen. He is barely alive. Let's take him to the hospitals." Sandhiya said and tried to call the ambulance by dialing 108.

But, he plucked her phone and threw is asides. Instead of saving him, he instead brutally hacked Gokul to death. As he got rid of the body, Sandhiya ran out of the forest and hitchhiked with a woman and her son(Gokul's family). She soon after realized that, they are Gokul's family members and discovered that she have picked up his phone instead of hers. Upon arriving at their house, Sandhiya left the phone in the car and fled.

She called Praveen from a payphone and he picked her up, after which they left Ooty.

1 YEAR LATER:

One year later, on February 23 2020, Sandhiya and Praveen were blackmailed by an anonymous person to bring two crores to Gokul's resort. In the room, the two decides to confess to Gokul's family together. They started to have sex when Praveen attempted to kill Sandhiya to save himself, but she fought back and killed him.

PRESENT:

Upon hearing this, Akhil uncontrollably starts to laugh by tapping the desk. Angered, Sandhiya asked him: "Hey. Are you mad? Why are you laughing?"

"Your story is good. But, there are lots of inconsistencies. Actually, you have killed Gokul. Since, you have more benefit to gain from the murder."

"You know who was that blackmailer?" Akhil asked her with a bit villainous voice.

Sandhiya looked at him vexed. He tells her, "Infact, I was the blackmailer. Praveen was ready to confess about the murder beforehand. Henceforth, he have called me before going into the resort. He had kept me on the phone in his back pocket."

Sandhiya looked at him with sorts of fears. Akhil further tells her, "You have killed Praveen when he told you the intentions and then staged the scene to make it look like he raped you."

Sandhiya is further shocked when Akhil reveals about another truth that he have learned during the investigation, with his girlfriend Yazhini's help.

OOTY, 4:30 AM:

Akhil got to know several shocking truths from Sandhiya's phone. She got addicted in using phones. But, further as she started using Facebook account, she got 30 to 50 boyfriends. Her husband Hariharan got to know about the same. He tried to advice her, but went in vain. She henceforth started an illicit relationship with Praveen as no one have noted about this due to ensuing works.

Henceforth he grabbed her cell phone and kept with himself. With Praveen's help she got a new phone. Additionally, they planned to murder Hariharan. Since, he have been an intruder and threat for their relationship.

They planned and killed Hariharan by stamping his face with a pillow. Sandhiya then staged a scene that, her husband got killed by few thieves and managed to escape the case.

However, her in-law's family didn't believe this and they took her one-year old child by themselves to raise her up. She felt happy that, one more intruder have gone out from them.

PRESENT:

Knowing that Akhil is intent in helping the family of Gokul, Sandhiya shows a video footage to him. In that, she have taken the video of the initial bribe, that he have taken from her. Further, she threatens to expose this video to his superior.

Akhil agrees to do whatever she tells him.

"You have to remove Gokul's body and pin his death on Praveen. So that Raghavendar's evidence against me could be destroyed." Sandhiya said to him.

"Ok. May I know where are those bodies?" Akhil asked her. She tells him the location by writing in the paper.

SIVA TEMPLE, PYKARA, OOTY- AT 4:30 PM:

Near to the resort side, Gokul have met both Praveen and Sandhiya. He tells them that, "He have indeed found out the real murderer of Hariharan" and pointed out them as the killer. In gun point, he tried to lure them for arrest.

But, Sandhiya outsmarts him and ambushed Gokul to death. Because, he struggled to survive beneath the road, where he had reached by falling.

Few days later, when Praveen told about the consequences of the act and his intentions to surrender for the murder, she had him killed. Having finished them both, she buries him in a nearby construction site next to the dam spots, before hitchhiking with Gokul's family.

PRESENT:

Akhil becomes shocked at her ruthlessness and tells her, "Sandhiya. Can you please look behind your table?"

She stares at him for a while and looks into the table. Seeing the table, she gets shocked and terrified. Because, a microphone have been implanted by him, as she was continuing to confess about her crimes. Her confession have been recorded completely.

Left dejected and angry, Sandhiya pulls out a gun on him. But, the police arrive to the spot and arrested her for the murders of Hariharan, Praveen and Gokul respectively. As Akhil leaves, Sandhiya protests saying to the officer, "He got bribe from me. And in addition, he is corrupt."

The lead police officer reveals her, "I al sorry Sandhiya. Akhil is adopted son of Gokul. Additonally, the guy who spoke with you is not Akhil. He is Aadhik. Gokul's son."

"Aadhik wanted his friend Akhil to take his father's case up and became suspicious upon seeing you on a magazine. Soon after, he recognized you as Sreemukhi. Due to pressures from us, Aadhik compiled the evidence for himself over a year due to some work pressures. Following Praveen's murder, Aadhik proposed to Akhi that he assume the officer's identity and meet with Sandhiya in order to get her to confess."

Sandhiya then goes with the police officers. Aadhik, Akhil and his mother goes to the spot, where Sandhiya have buried Gokul and takes out the body.

THREE DAYS LATER:

Three days later, Akhil have returned to Yazhini along with Aadhik and his mother.

"Yazhini. Shall we get married?" Akhil asked her. She looks for a while and later, agrees to his request happily. Then, Aadhik's mother goes to upstairs for taking the dry clothes. Because, the clouds are turning darker and it's about to rain....
