The Undying Love

"Hello…Hello… is anyone inside? Please open the door you got a courier," shouted a person from outside. "Excuse me, sir, do you have any idea of the whereabouts of the people living in here?" he asked a person passing by. "I saw them at the midnight, coming home late,” he replied. “Sir Could you please ask someone to open the door, I have been calling them for an hour and no one replied. I think something might go wrong,” he doubted. “Okay, I will inform the president and ask the security to open the door,” he replied. They opened the door, the room was so dark and someone slipped on the floor, his hands became wet. Someone turned on the light and everyone got panicked. 

“Neha…wear this lehenga you look pretty, the boy won’t turn his eyes off and soon marries you,” her bhabhi said taking the dress from the wardrobe. “Make her ready fast they are on their way and it’s her engagement today,” her mother said. The groom’s family arrived and Neha was sitting on the couch along with her parents. “Let them talk till the muhurat. Neha takes him to your room," her father said. They went into her room. "You look so pretty," he said. “Thank you” she replied. “Did you speak to your manager about the relocation?” he asked. “Yes, he’s looking into it,” she replied. “That’s good to hear,” he said. Their engagement went well and the date fixed is exactly a month away.

"Hello…sorry for not attending your engagement babe. I got a sudden plan to go out of town. I'm returning today see you soon at our flat," a voice said. "It's okay. Come soon, need to talk a lot," she replied. The doorbell is ringing and Neha opened the door. "Hey, babe…congratulations. I missed you so much. Love you," said Riya. "Ohh…really??" she replied sarcastically. "If you do care about me then you must have attended my engagement. I was lonely and very depressed,” she replied. “Sorry dear, don’t worry now I’m here right,” she said.

They are best friends since childhood and are now working in the same company and living in the same flat. It's a weekend they went to a pub had some booze and came home late. "I'm not happy with this marriage. I don't want to marry him. But the problem is I don't know why," Neha shouted. "Why…Why…Don't you love him??" asked Riya. "Love….," she is staring into her eyes and said "No...No...No". Slowly Riya came close to Neha, “Then who do you love?” she asked in a low voice. “I love you. I love you so much and want to be with you forever and ever,” she said firmly looking into her eyes. “Me too,” both chuckled looking at each other with love and affection. Riya’s hands were slowly moving over Neha’s waist, she then grabbed her and embraced her tightly. She kissed her on the neck, cheeks, eyes, and forehead, and then she tightly pressed her soft lips upon hers. She’s also reverting with the same love and kissing passionately, they started making love. They were feeling every inch of their bodies and souls and the moaning took them into another world they had never felt before with anyone else. In the morning they kept quiet and broke the silence "Last night was the best night of my life," said Neha blushing. "Mine too," replied Riya smiling. Again they kissed each other and were happy to find their true selves and love.

There are a few days left before the wedding and Neha decided to reveal her love to her parents. "Ma and Papa I want to say something… I'm sorry to say this at the last moment but I don't want this marriage. Please inform them," she said. “How easily you said that?” her mother slapped her angrily. “We asked for your acceptance before fixing the match and now you are saying this,” she cried. “Why do you want to cancel the marriage?” her father asked. “I’m in love with someone,” she replied. “What? Who is it? And why didn’t said that before?” her family questioned. “I love Riya and we realized it recently. We want to live together,” she said strongly. "Are you out of your mind? A girl in love with another girl? What if anyone gets to know about this? What about our family pride? Stop talking this nonsense and marry the guy we saw," her family said angrily. "I'm here to inform you and now I'm leaving this house. I know you won't accept this and you value society more than your daughter," she said in grief and left.

Everything was going well but later everyone started avoiding them knowing the truth and bullying them for being lesbians. “Today is our day. I don’t want us to waste it and we live it to the fullest,” said Neha. "As you wish my princess," she replied. They cooked, had lunch, played games, watched movies, gossiped and in the evening they went to their favourite park, in the return had dinner at their favourite restaurant, and came home late. They made love for one last time and then they cut their wrists.

In the morning everyone was shocked to see the bodies and the police found a note near the bodies. "Love is not wrong and so are we. We are in love and love is not confined to particular gender, caste, and religion but unfortunately, our families and society are failed to understand this. We are not giving up on our love but on society and the families who feel like they are cursed to have children like us and put forth the society, pride and respect before their children. Most importantly a person is not completed with the person of the opposite gender but is by the love of another person," the note stated.
