The Trio

College can be intimidating and tough and no one knows it better than the trio. The trio comprised of Ankita, Sonal and Martina. Ankita was a genius masquerading as an average student, Sonal was a small towner finding it hard to cope in the big city and Martina had just come out of a correctional home. Sure they were different and definitely not mainstream but they were regular students trying to blend into their surroundings. LMS College was a reputed college in Kolkata and their principal Smriti Kiran was a woman of ideals. One day while conducting a session in college she realises that Ankita has a knack for Maths but she never scores that well. Ankita had undiagnosed dyslexia so, solving papers was a puzzle whereas she understood every problem before it was explained in class.

Ankita never realised her potential. Principal Kiran helps her with the papers after college each day. She even helps her take up Actuaries. Sonal was a vibrant young girl looking to fly big with her dreams but her wings were cut off. Her parents were trying to arrange her marriage to someone she barely knew. Principal Kiran to the rescue again. She explains Sonal's parents by citing her own example about how she made it without a significant other in her life. In the end, Sonal's parents were inspired to let their daughter study further.

Martina the troubled one, found it hard to make friends in College. Professor Kiran introduced her to a therapist. Martina slowly starts to loosen up in front of the therapist. College feast was round the corner at LMS College. Principal Kiran decides to put the three girls in the same group as volunteers for the feast and names them "The Trio".
