THE BEGINNING

Decades after the treaty, there were speculations that acknowledged the presence of tardigrades. The myth or maybe a distant possibility of an apacolypse threatened the life on earth. In the year 2035, with advent of technologies that predicted the future still the researchers were in a dilemma.

Tardigrades were first discovered in the year 1777. These are eight legged microbes that resembled bears thrived in water. They were known as water bears or amphi bears. Tardigrades lived in extreme weather conditions. It is believed that they have colonized the moon. There were contradictions that said moon never hosted living entities and sterilization was never possible. People too believed mars hosted these creatures. There was nothing beyond theories to give a sure shot evidence.

It wasn't all about these extraterrestrial creatures that gathered all the members of Miracle Centre for Drug and pathogen research at this hour for the secure conference.

It was about a report from a process development scientist named Jameson who resided 50 miles from there in a town called Bascilia. It was about an immune variant of these tardigrades being spotted in a lake near Bascilia.

The report further reiterated about an unknown substance that was detected in its metabolism. This particular antigen had the possibility of spreading an epidemic in the country. The symptoms would begin with a burning skin, searing pain in hands and legs, swelling of feet, inability to bear heat, reduced blood flow in coronary blood vessel, muscle twitches and seizures ultimately resulting in death over a period of time.

The scientist couldn't explain what was that particular chemical or antigen as the chemical composition wasn't something that is known to mankind. A test on his lab mice revealed the deadly symptoms and the reaction of that chemical when injected into the blood.

The images revealed these microbes to have a snake-like appearance. The members felt the immediate need to look into the issue and address it to the government with adequate evidence.
