The sun, proud of his fiery flames had he stories about the moon's beauty. The moon so luminous, hid herself under the blanket of darkness, and showed herself only during the night. The sun, desperate about her beauty, would give anything to catch a glimpse of her.

Then once, out of the dark sky came a bright light. The sun, surprised by looking at it, knew its origin. He saw the moon's face glowing as she unveiled herself from the blanket of darkness. The sun was awestruck. She truly was the most beautiful there could ever be.

"Go, " she says. The sun could feel the deep sorrow in her eyes.

"Go, and let me breathe. You and I have decided fates. You illuminate the day and I cast my glow in the night."

There was a long pause. It seemed as if the moon would shatter as she spoke. "You and I will never be. Our connection would go against what all people believe."

During the summers, the sun stayed a little longer in hopes she would change her mind. But that never happened.

"Don't you dare abandon your blessing of light for my darkness?"

these were the last words the moon said. How he wished to see her again than the fleeting moments he shared with her at both dawn and dusk. But they were a world apart.
