The snake mari-go round

Once upon a time, there was a serpent by the name of Kalie. He was a king cobra and was very polite too. He would only eat fruits and vegetables , very rarely he would eat animals like rats or frogs etc... He would refuse to eat other animal like cows or pigs etc.... on seeing this gods were shocked and tried everything to make him behave like a king cobra but failed every-time. Once a pandit named Makhosi heard about this and set on a journey to find the serpent.. He travelled for days until he found Kalie peacefully sleeping under the tree after hunting and eating down mice.. 

Pandit Makhosi sprinkled holy water on Kalie from which the serpent woke up. Without wasting time Makhosi cursed Kalie to become a two people snake Mari-go round and the curse would only break if Kalie learnt how to be a proper king cobra....

Kalie remained under the cure for 15 years until, one day a mother bear with her two cubs were hunting when one cub noticed the Mari-go round..(Kalie under the curse)They wanted to go on it but the mother refused, so they cried and pleaded until their mother finally allowed. Kalie got dizzy and by the time he was to his senses he broke the curse. Without thinking he ate up one bear cub, the mother got angry and killed Kalie.

The gods were proud that Kalie killed and ate another animal but were also sad for the mother bear had killed Kalie
