The Shadows - Part 1

 My boyfriend and I are sitting in our car hoping to see some wildlife. We see a weird outline of a ginormous person that seemed to have the same features as a snake. My boyfriend and I freeze in our seats shaking out of freight hoping we are just seeing things. As I squint to try to make out the outline better but. it disappeared into the darkness of the thick forest. My boyfriend and I agree it would be best to leave for our safety. As I look in my rearview mirror to make sure no one was behind me I see the very same outline again. I feel a chill role down my spine as I change the gear shift into reverse. I hit the gas as hard as I can and we haul it out of the lookout area. We make it back to our small camp group. we take a huge sigh of relief. As we go to sit down we feel the glares of the other campers. I start to sweat as I feel more and more uncomfortable by the minute.

“Where have you been!” Ranger Charlotte howled while she stared at us waiting for an answer.

“We went to see if we could see any interesting animals by the lookout. ” I declared nervously while sweating through my clothes
