His Kidnapping

Chapter 1 The Letter

 I broke down on the floor because of the unbearable agony, never in my darkest nightmares did I believe this would happen. Why didn't I keep him safe? The letter was so gruesome, they knew I wouldn't believe them without proof, they sent me a chunk of his dark brown curly hair. The most worrying part of the letter is the demands and time limit. Trust me, I want to give up, but he could still be alive somewhere, I have to get back up. I got up still shaking and crying violently, and dialed 911 on the land line, deep down I hopped they didn't bug the phone so I wouldn't put David in more danger. I did notice something important, there was no forced entry and there was no struggle, so maybe it was someone we know. After what felt like forever, the dial tone ended and i heard the operator.

Operator: 911, What's your Emergency?

Me: Help me please my husband was kidnapped!!

Operator: Okay miss, stay calm. Is the kidnapper still in the house? Is there anyone with you? 

Me: No, I came home and everything was clean and seemed normal, but then there was a letter.

Operator: Okay stay calm, take a few deep breathes your hyper ventilating, They will be there in five minutes. You can either hang up or stay on the line.

Me: I need to go or I am gonna break.

As soon as a I hung up, I fell to the floor again and pulled my hair, and just laided there for what felt like eternity. 

Chapter 2 The Hospital 

 When the police arrive there lights dyed the house red and blue, I couldn't even bother to get up I felt to weak, I knew they would find the letter because I didn't want to let go, I was so afraid. I passed out from stress, they took me to the hospital , why was I being so weak. I need to stay strong for David, he needs me now more than ever, I promised to always be there , I cant break my promise. While I was asleep, I had a dreadful nightmare, I saw David all bloody, and I heard him scream. His screams could drive me crazy, I hurt when ever he is hurt . I woke up in a cold sweat and accidentally scared the nurse. I pulled out the IV and tried to rip off the patches, the nurse had to call for backup, they restrained me, I am trapped in this hospital. I tried telling them about how David needed me, but they ignored me, I was screaming and begging they didn't listen, they shut the door and left. I tried hitting my head repeatedly on the bar to make them come back and it worked, it turns out they didn't come back because I was hurting myself, they came back to bring me the photo of David and I's wedding photo my mother brought for me. I felt so enraged , after five years of ghosting me she waltzes back into my life. Haven't I been through enough?! I mean I guess it was my fault, but people do change, sadly not her. I pass out again from the stress, wishing for his warm embrace. It felt so different to sleep without him holding me and cuddling.

Chapter 3 The Escape

I wake up to find that the restraints are gone, and I also noticed I scratched my arms raw, I got so worried to see that it came back. I had such bad problems before I met him, I was addict but he helped me, I cant start that cycle again. I take a deep breath and take the tray of food that contained two eggs, an orange, and a few medications. I looked at the two pills and put them in my pockets, I am not in the right head space to take anything. I slip on my shoes and remove the patches and IV, and check the hallway. My breath was shaking I sat in the door way for half an hour, I finally convinced my shelf to run out, I have never ran so fast. There was so many voices yelling to try and make me come back. I have no more time to wait, he is in danger I need to be stronger. I dash out of the main doors and the guards stop chasing me thank god, once I ran about a block. I enter a store and steal a pair of clothes, I cant believe I did it, I say while I comb through my hair with my fingers. I go into an alley and I see my face on the news, I start running even more, I can hardly breathe and hold back the tears but then I blackout.

I later realize I died of heart attack and left David defenseless.
