The Scary Night

I was on my way to Manali with my family. I and my sister were very excited. We were travelling by road in our car. We had played loud music in the car. We were carrying snacks wth us on the way.All of us were enjoying the natural beauty of mountains and valleys on the way.

I wanted to capture the beauty in my camera. I asked my father to take a halt to click some pics.As it was already getting late,he refused for the same.I tried convincing him but he didn't. I got really upset as wanted to get down and click pics so that I could boast it to my friends. I sat back quietly.

We reached the resort before dark. It was very beautiful. There were villas all over the place surrounded by mountains and dense trees. I heard the sound of trickling of water. I started following that sound. But my father stopped me as it was getting dark and we were tired.We went to our room and had dinner. Everybody slept but I couldn't. My eyes were wide open. I wanted to go and follow that sound of water.I was getting restless.

I quietly got up and swept from the door. It was dark outside. There were dense forest. I could hear sound of insects and bugs . It was chilling cold. My jacket was not able to keep me warm. I started following the sound of water. I was walking slowly to avoid rustling of leaves.After walking some hundred steps,I saw a small stream of water flowing from the mountains.I took out my camera a to click pics when I felt a hand on my shoulder.

I was petrified.I started sweating in that mid night chill. I recollected all my strength and turned. There was a old woman standing. She looked scary. She asked me who am I and what was I doing there.I got scared. I didn't know what to say but just wanted to escape. And then it just clicked me and I whispered "can you really see me, its been years I have been wondering in these forests alone". She widened her eyes and stepped back.I could see water rolling down her face. I continued starring herewith a blank expression. She screamed and rushed towards gate and I rushed and got in my bed.

I couldn't sleep throughout night. It was a horrific night and I can never forget it.
