THE RUTHLESS PSYCHO

Note: This story is a follow up of The Insane Love and the fourth in Adhi Story universe. This is a story based on the author's fiction. It does not apply to any historical reference but, was loosely based on real-life incidents.

JANUARY 2022:

FEW MONTHS LATER:

KOLLENGODE, KERALA:

Alice Joseph is a law student in an reputed college of Kollengode. She was getting ready for her upcoming final exams. If she completed her final exams, she could become a public defender as desired. Eventhough there are lots of subjects to study for her exams, she decides to attend the wedding of her sister Mariam Jose. She goes to her hometown Kollengode. After attending the marriage, she said to her family in a funny way: "That's it. If I sat in the library for my 24/7 studies, I won't chat or talk with our people and friends."

ONE WEEK LATER:

Even Alice's friends doesn't see her for one week. Her friends searched for her and tried to contact her mobile phone. But, there was no reply from her. None of them were able to know where she went suddenly. Henceforth, Alice's friend Anjali called Mariam Jose and asked: "Sister. Where is Alice? When I called her, she is not attending the call. There's hardly any response from her. When did you talk with her at last?"

"There is no problem Anjali. She has attended my marriage. She informed us not to disturb her for one week. Hence, she didn't attend your calls." However, even after hearing this, Anjali does not get convinced. Since, she must be present in the library only. But, she is not there in library too. No reply for the texts and further, she doesn't answer any calls. She suspects something wrong in this.

Anjali henceforth approached a local police station at Kollengode, where she meets Sai Adhithya, who had been transferred from Ernakulam just before two weeks after he solved Manasa's Murder case. The police constable asked her to sit in a desk. Since, Adhithya went outside for having breakfast.

A few hours later, Adhithya arrived to the station, where Anjali said: "Sir. For the past few weeks, my friend Alice missing. Can you please come and check her apartment?"

Adhithya goes to the apartment and tapped the door of Alice. But, there's no response from her and the room had been locked. Henceforth, Sai Adhithya checked the surroundings of the whole room to ensure there's some broken window glass and forced entry. But, there's nothing suspicious.

Henceforth, Adhithya goes along with his police constable. Anjali followed him up and asked, "Sir. Sir..."

"I can't do anything further ma. If you register a missing complaint about Alice, I could move to the next step of my investigation process." Sai Adhithya said to her. After a few days later, Alice's family starts to get concerned about her absence. Henceforth, they register a missing complaint to Sai Adhithya.

Now, Sai Adhithya and the constable team approached the apartment, trying to open the door. But the door doesn't open. With the help of the houseowner they open the door. Initially, Adhithya doesn't feel anything suspicious upon checking Alice's room. However, he noticed Alice's car key, laptop and books at a table. He doubts that, "Something have happened to the girl."

Henceforth, Adhithya investigated about Alice's enemy and anyone, who were threatening her to her family and friends. At first, her family and friends said: "Alice doesn't have enemies. People used to adore her with lots of love and affection." However, Mariam alone said by reminding an incident: "No sir. Alice shared me something before one year. After completing her vacation, she came back to her apartment. When returning, she found her things changed to some other place and she reported me about this. We didn't bother about this much. And she too forgot that incident. There were no problems since then sir."

To cover this news, some news channel came to the crime scene and interviewed the local people by asking them: "What happened to Alice?" and "When did they saw her atlast?"

One of the news channel reporter looks at a person, seeing the investigation of police officers in fear. His name is Stephen George. He is the classmate of Alice. And additionally, media comes to know that he is her neighbour. The media reporter asked him, "When did you saw Alice atlast? What did you talk with her atlast?"

Stephen replied: "I have not seen Alice for the past one week. Not only me. Even my classmates have not seen her for one week."

Meanwhile, Sai Adhithya's police team carefully checked the building and it's surroundings having the apartment thoroughly. While checking, one of the police constable noticed a big trash bag below the waste tank. When he moved the trash bag to look in what's there, he finds it difficult to move. Since, the trash bag was so heavy.

Sai Adhithya opened the trash bag to find Alice's dead body. He vomitted unable to bear the smell of the dead body. After some seconds, he said to the constable for a widespread search of the neighbours. Since, someone have threw the dead body upon knowing that, the police had been investigating about this. The reporter notes this and said Stephen, "Police have found out the dead body, I think."

"What? Body ah?" Stephen froze for one minute. At that time, the reporter asked him: "Are you okay?"

Stephen stood with a shocked mood. He walked towards a place with struggles and sat for sometime. Now, the missing person case turned as homicide case. Police did a widespread check in the neighbourhood apartments of Alice. When checking the apartment, police comes across Stephen's room to the right side. As the police checked his room, Stephen started to sweat heavily. He drinks lots and lots of water. Sai Adhithya finds out Alice's room key in Stephen's room.

Whenever Alice goes out, Stephen gets inside her house to take her clothes and some small materials. While checking the computer of Stephen, the browser history had full of Alice's facebook and linkedin profiles. He had been frequently seeing them.

"Sir." A police constable shouted at Sai Adhithya. He went inside and became shocked to see that creepy thing. Stephen stuck a small camera with the help of a big stick. He have further put a tape on it. Using the camera, Stephen enjoyed the things, that Alice had been doing inside her room. The team further seized some drugs and cocaine inside Stephen's room.

Immediately, Sai Adhithya arrested Stephen. Inside the investigation room, Adhithya said: "If you don't say what happened that night, we have to investigate you by other method." Sai Adhithya loaded his gun with bullets and kept it in the table. Frightened, Stephen said: "I will say what happened. Please don't do anything to me."

SEVEN DAYS BACK:,

12:00 PM

Usually Stephen checked the presence of Alice in her room using the camera. If she is not present in the room, Stephen used to steal some of her belongings. But, one day, Stephen confirmed the presence of Alice and took her key to go inside her room. She was sleeping peacefully.

Hearing the footsteps of Stephen, Alice woke up and shouted at him. She asked, "Who are you? Go outside the room." Since, Stephen have been wearing a mask on his face, she failed to recognize him. Stephen however, plunged into her bed and tried to rape her. At one point of time, his mask falls down.

Alice recognized him to be her classmate Stephen and asked him, "Stephen. Please leave me. Don't do anything. I beg you." She have pleaded with him. Stephen laughed and moved out of the room. Alice breathes for a while and lay down in her bed. However to her horror, Stephen again plunged inside her room. Looking at her face, he said: "Wow....wow....Alice. I wanted to have sex with you for a long period of time. But, I did not get a right chance for that. Now I had got a right chance. Come on come on. Let's enjoy the whole night." Alice feared and tried to run away. Stephen slapped her and forcibly took her to the bed.

"You don't even understand my character Alice." Removing his dresses, Stephen plunged into the bed. He removed her dresses and raped her brutally. Aftermath he wears his dress and saw Alice crying out in pain.

"Don't cry or regret Alice. As you are not going to get back your virginity. Anyways I enjoyed your whole body and thanks for that. Thank you. Muah!" He now thought about the possibilities for her to approach the police. Henceforth, Stephen mercilessly strangled her to a brutal death.

Dragging her ruthlessly to his room, he packed Alice's dead body in a bag to threw it outside. However, police have found the dead body of Alice.

PRESENT:

At present, Adhithya was shell-shocked and a few days later, he produced Stephen in front of the court. There, the court gives Stephen, a death sentence. While, Adhithya went to the funeral of Alice at a nearby cemetery. He prayed in the cemetery of Alice, apologizing for his failure to save her from death.

A while later, he meets her family in the house and said: "I am really sorry madam. I was unable to save Alice as a police officer. I hoped a lot to save her. But, almighty had different plans."

Wiping off her tears, Mariam Joseph said: "It's okay sir. I consider this as a warning from Jesus Christ. We learned that there are ruthless psychos, who pretend as innocents. But, we never expected Alice's own neighbour is a psycho."

Anjali was so heartbroken and upset with her beloved friend's death. She was sitting awkward in Alice's house. 

8:30 PM:

After consoling her, Adhithya proceeds to go home and sits in his sofa. He recalled the brutal death of Manasa. But felt relieved that, Stephen didn't escape the court of law.

His daughter came and asked him: "Dad. Why are you upset?"

Adhithya pretends to be happy and said: "No no. Nothing like such baby. Come come. Let's have dinner."

However, her daughter doubted his happiness and asked him: "Did you felt emotional when dealing with a case? Don't worry dad. Karma won't leave anyone. That ruthless psycho will get back for what he has done." Adhithya was surprised with his daughter's word Karma. Since, she is just 10 years old."

She asked him: "Are you surprised dad? This word Karma was actually said by my teacher in today's class."

Adhithya smiled and they both have their dinner in the dining hall.

EPILOGUE:

Be careful with your neighbour. They pretend to be innocent. But, they have an animal inside them. Women need to fight back or practice martial arts to defend themselves from psycho killers and the anti-social elements of this society.
