"Gaurav.. it is getting late. Make it fast. Else we will miss the ship", Madhav yelled. Gaurav came out of his tent hurriedly with a basket in his hands.

Both Madhav and Gaurav get on the ship hurriedly and sat on the floor. They are taking fast, deep breaths as if they’ve just been given a second chance at life. Both looked at each other, smiled and closed their eyes...

Madhav and Gaurav are childhood friends with same dream of going into the ocean. No matter how hard their lives are as orphans, they never missed the chance of seeing the ships sailing in the ocean every evening. Sometimes, they even get to clean the ship after arrival, before the next trip begins. Whether it is a cruise ship or cargo ship, both worked with full of heart. Not to make money, but to live their dream of sailing in the ship by owning it. The only dream in both their eyes is to sail on a ship across the ocean .

One day in the evening, while passing by the beach, they saw a old damaged boat. Soon they decided to repair it. They tried repairing it days and nights. And finally their own ship is ready to sail. With full of hopes in their eyes, one early morning they started their journey of sailing across the ocean. There is no route map, no idea where the ship is heading and what the destination would be. Only thing they know is they living their dreams.

Days passed by, however, their enthusiasm in sailing never ended. But they never know their happiness is soon going to be ended. Soon there was a heavy rain followed by thunderstorms. In no time the ship is broken, Madhav and Gaurav swam across the ocean to save their lives with relentless efforts.

"Madhav!! I can see the land over there and a ocean liner too. Lets go towards it...", Gaurav shouted.

The ocean liner seemed years old which lost its way and damaged in thunderstorms. They went inside, ship is in damaged condition. The parts are falling apart. Suddenly, the roof broke and the wooden box fell in front of them. Gaurav took it out of the ship and Madhav managed to get big rock to open the box. One after other, both tried hitting it to open. Soon, it got opened.

"It is a basket. And filled with gold coins!!" Gaurav astonished.

"Yes!! my friend. With this we can buy not just a ocean liner.. but the entire ship yard!!" Madhav answered.

Both their eyes are filled with happy tears. Gaurav built a tent with available items near by. Though they are happy as they are close to their dreams, they are in doubt whether they could ever return to their homeland. They started livelihood by eating fishes and lived with hope of some day some ship may come towards this way. Not too late, Madhav noticed a ship on the horizon, barely visible to the naked eye.

"Help please!!! we are struck here. This way.. This way..." Madhav shouted.

Finally, sailor pointed him and moved the ship towards them for help. Both Madhav and Gaurav reached their homeland. Now they are not mere orphans who are workers. But the warriors whose determination led them to live their dream, crossed all the hurdles and won in the journey of life.

Though their dream was simply to sail on a ship, but their passion to fulfill it transformed their lives from roadside laborers into owners of a shipyard.

We wonder.. If they hadn't seen their dream as getting fulfilled in that old damaged ship, if they hadn't determined to repair the damaged ship, if they hadn't swam across the ocean relentlessly, they would have never got the chance to find the treasure and change their life. The ship that came towards them for help is the boon given by the life for their endless efforts.

No matter what our fate may be, true determination has the power to bend the destiny in our favor.
