Two Greedy Friends

In the village Gagnam, there lived two friends named Raju and Mohan. They both grew up together and they had seen only hard times in their lives. Mohan had been working in the field of a Landowner and Raju had been selling fire wood to the villagers since their childhood. But neither of their income met the living expenses. During summer, fire broke in the forest and as a result all the wood was burnt leaving raju in the miserable condition. Knowing raju's condition mohan recommended to work along with him in the field. The landlord accepted Raju to work in his field and ordered them to plough the entire field.

In the afternoon, Raju and mohan started to plough the land. After sometime mohan got tired, so he stopped the work and sat under the shade of a tree leaving the remaining work to ram. Raju continued work till the evening, suddenly he found a bag and he called mohan. They opened the bag and surprised to see thousand gold coins in it. They both wanted to take all the gold coins. Raju said as he ploughed the field, all the gold coins would belong to him. In counter mohan told as he was the one who got the permission for raju to work in the field, all the gold coins would belong to him. They both started quarreling. Everyone came to know about the gold coins and the matter reached the landowner. He came to them and said as the field was his, everything that come out of his land also would belong to him. Raju and mohan were stunned and the landowner took the gold coins bag and left.

Then both the friends realized the fact that if they hadn't been greedy and if they had shared the gold coins equally, they would have become rich. They regretted for being greedy and again started ploughing the field.
