The Night Dream

As the time is 10.30 PM, I came to my room to sleep. I was sleeping peacefully till 3.00 PM. Shortly at 3.15 PM, I heard a sound near to my house and I suddenly woke up. Without disturbing my family, I silently went away from the place and saw the sound 2 meters back from my house.

I saw a 12-year old girl, screaming out louder for help because four men has surrounded her and they are forcing to rape her. The girl on seeing me asked for help.

"Brother. Please help me" said the girl, with her pleasing eyes.

The word Brother has touched me emotionally and later on, the first rapist asked, "What man? Are you going to fight with us? We are four and you are one. Will you be able to fight with us?"

In between that time, I noticed the girl and in order to save her life, I have beaten up those guys severely and those men unable to bear the pain, runs away from the place.

"Thank you, brother" said that girl, smiling at me.

"What's your name, dear?" I asked her.

"My name is Tharshika, brother" said the girl.

I was stunned after hearing the name. Because, it was my mother's name, who passed away right after my birth.

I told to the girl, "Tharshika. Hereafter, if anyone tries to harm you, beat them up severely. Your weakness is strength for those men. Be bold and strong"

"Yes brother. Sure" said the girl and she left back to her house where, her parents hug her and they thanked me for saving her.

My father praised me for saving the life of a girl when I returned back to home.

"Hey Akhil. Get up man. See the time. It's 6:00 AM" said my father, in the bed. 

"What? Am I in the house? Then, that girl?" I asked to myself.

"What? Which girl?" asked my father.

"Nothing dad. I told it simply" I replied to him.

"Did you get any nightmare?" asked my father, after noticing my eyes.

"Yes Dad. Sharply at 4.30 to 5.30, I dreamt of saving the life of a girl child, from the clutches of rapist" I said to him.

"Oh. Is it? Ok" said my father and later on, I refreshed myself and later on, my mind voice asked to me, "What happened Akhil? Are you still thinking about the dream?"

"Not like such da. I thought how our women and girl child are not safer in our country. If they have been given an equal power like us, could we be able to touch them?" I asked to him.

My mind voice became silent while, I continued to go for my father's office, because I have been given a lots of works to be done today. At that time, I saw a girl child smiling at me for which, I reacted by smiling at her.
