2- THE MAGICAL MIRROR

“Yes... I think we all are dead...” Lavender said...

“ So is that Heaven...?” Shane said...

“ Make some sense... Heaven wouldn't be that much dark and frightening...” Melody said...

“ Maybe Hell...!” Lavender said...

“ Hell...? No...” Melody whispered...

“ I don't know about you guys, but it's not surprising for me to end up in the Hell... After all, I killed myself...” Lavender said...

“ Stop the nonsense...” Shane said... “We can hear each other, touch each other... We can't see just because we don't have any light...If we are in the afterlife, then where are others creatures... Why are we alone...? Why we can't figure out anything...?”

“ I can understand your emotions... You both shouldn't die at such ages... But possibly we became spirit or something, that's why we're going around without aim...” Lavender said...

“ Lavender...How can you say such words so calmly...?Do you even know what's that means...? We're... We're...” Melody couldn't continue her words...

“ Truth is truth dear...” Lavender said...While they were talking, Shane was thinking something deep down...

“ We're alive...” Shane finally said...

“ I'm so sorry but...” Lavender said and Shane interpreted...

“ Yes... Sorry! you're sorry... That's a kind of emotion... As far as I know, Ghosts shouldn't have feelings... A while ago, you said you understand our emotions... That means you still have a brain...And Melody said she felt like suffocating... The most important thing is that, when I trampled your foot, you shouted... “ Yeah... We are alive...” Lavender said with a disappointed tone...

“ Yes...! How do you know...?” Melody asked...

“ I checked your veins... They are normal...”

“ You are smart...” Shane said...

“ What smart...? It's my daily schedule... I'm a doctor...” Lavender said...

“ Seriously...? I thought you are my age...”

“ I'm 25, kiddo...” She said and walk ahead...

“ But where are we...? It's not an ordinary place, I can feel... Wait, It had been so long I've been here, You know what, I haven't drunk a drop of water...I feel like thirsty...” Melody said...

“ Yeah...I'm also likewise...” Shane said...

“ I'm also...Another thing to note... Maybe we reached here at the same time...So we can leave together...” Lavender said...

“ Yeah...Maybe...Not sure...You are just guessing...” Melody said...

“ Why aren't we dead yet, without water, this amount of time is enough to die...” Lavender said...

“ Again she'll say that we're dead...” Shane said...

“ No...No...We are in something more complex than the death... We gotta find the solution, we gotta find...” Lavender said...Then they walked ahead... Nothing happened so long... They noticed another thing that they didn't get tired of walking continuously... But yes, they became bored and hopeless...

“ No... I can't go anymore... It's useless...” Melody said and they all stopped... “I'll just sit here and wait for whatever going to be... It can't be worse than going in the dark without any goal...”

“ It's not a bad idea...” Lavender said and sat down first... Melody also sat down... But Shane was still standing...

“ Are you guys really giving up...?” Shane said...

“ No...We are just waiting...” Lavender said...

“What are you waiting for...Death...?” Shane asked...

“ Likely, why are we going forward...? To die...?” Melody said...

“ Oh God...!What are you doing these with me...?” Shane shouted to get relief...

“ Don't shout and sit down here...” Lavender said closing her ears... Shane also sat down without being able to do anything...

“ What I did wrong to be like this...?” Shane said hopelessly...

“ Yeah... Nothing is understandable...Some features are like living things, some are like afterlife creatures...Everything is just messing up... Like the dreams of winter nights...” She said...

“ Dream...?” Lavender said like figuring out something...

“ Dream...?” Shane said without understanding much...

“ Dream...!” Melody said getting what Lavender means...Then they all understood and felt surprised...

“ Dream...!!!!” They all said together with shocking manners... Suddenly, after a short while, they heard a sound like an earthquake... They all stood up hardly maintaining themselves...

“ What's going on...?” Melody said...

“ I don't know... I think we are definitely going to die...” Lavender said... Shane and Melody heard the disappointment in her voice, for the first time when she said about going to die...

“ Don't you happy, you're going to die as you want...” Shane said...

“ Idiot... I don't want such painful death...It felt like rocks will rain over us...” Lavender said... The earthquake became harder...They were like falling...But they held each other tightly... They closed their eyes so tough...By the way, they didn't see any difference between opened and closed eyes...Suddenly the earthquake stopped...It became silent again, and all they could hear were their heavy breathing, and pounding heart...They opened their eyes... Surprisingly, they finally could see something in that dark place...

“ What's that...?” Melody whispered curiously... Even that whisper was sounding loud...

“It looks like a mirror...” Lavender said looking at the big and grand mirror... It had a golden edge and a lot of precious stones were decorated... They looked at the mirror so interestingly...The mirror was radiating the dim light... They slowly went near it... Lavender was studying the mirror back and forth while Shane looked in the mirror to adjust himself... He winded his eyes as he saw something else instead of his image...

“ Hey...It's... It's magic...It's a magical mirror...” Shane said as he stepped backward...

“What...?” Melody asked...

“ Don't take him seriously, Melody... He seemed mad...” Lavender said...

“ No... Believe me... It showed me a beautiful white mansion... The large green compound and...” He said looking in the mirror, his gaze turned soft by what he saw next...“ It's Mom, Dad, and my brother... And me... Also a puppy in my hands... We look so happy...” As he said, they both got confused...

“ Are you sure, you are alright...? I mean does something happen with your mind in so much shock...” Lavender said...

“ Being a doctor doesn't mean that everyone in front of you is patient...” Shane said... 

“Then what is the meaning of those images...?” Lavender said...

“ Maybe it's the way out...” Melody said excitedly...“ If you see your house...”

“But it's not my house...” Shane interpreted...

“ Don't make us confused... You just said you saw your family...” Lavender said...

“ Yes... It's my family but not my house...But yes... It's just like the life I wished always...” He said...

“ Ohh... I can't think anything...!” Lavender said...

“ It can be the future images...Possibly this is the supernatural mirror that shows our future...” Melody said and they thought for a while...

“ It's possible... Then congrats Shane...! Your dream is going to be true in the future...” Lavender said...

“ Is that so...?” Shane said...“Melody... Why don't you try... Let's make sure it's future...”

Then he moved to the side and Melody stood up straight in front of the mirror...She looked for a while and...

“ It's not the future mirror...” She said...

“ Huh...?” Lavender asked...

“ Why...?” Shane asked...

“ I saw my...my Grandpa...” She said as she was going to cry...

“ So...?” Shane asked...

“ Grandpa...is no more... How could he come in the future... It's not a future mirror...” She said...

“ It's a past image... Shane...Is there any event in your past like you saw in the mirror...?” Lavender asked...

“ No... I haven't seen any home like that...”

“ Let me think...Let me think...” Lavender said...

“ Why would you think...? You stand in front of the mirror... Then it'll be clear depending on what you see...” Shane said...

“ You're right...” Lavender said and stood in front of the mirror... After a while...

“ Lavender... What do you see...?” Shane asked... They didn't hear any answer...They just heard a low sound of sobbing...

“ Laven... Are you... crying...?” Melody asked as Lavender covered her face with her hands and cried...

“ Lavender... What's the matter...?” Melody asked...

“Yeah... What did you see...?”

“I saw my wedding...” Lavender whispered...

“ Who cries seeing her wedding...?” Shane asked...

“ I saw myself with a man who threw me away like nothing...” She shouted...

“ Hey... Calm down...” Melody said...

“ I got it...” Shane said...“Melody...Do you want to be with your grandfather...?”

“ Of course...” She replied...

“ And Lavender... Do you want to marry that...” He said and stopped...

“ Shane...?” Melody whispered...

“ I understand what he wants to tell...” Lavender said trying to be calm...“ This mirror is showing the things we desire most...” She said with pain...

“ Finally, it's a Dream Mirror...” Shane said...

“ But... Why it showed me the thing I hate most... I don't want him...I don't want to marry him...” Lavender said loudly as she angrily kicked that mirror... They all became completely shocked by what they saw next...!

“ Oh, My God...!!” Lavender said as she pulled back her leg from that mirror... Her leg went through the mirror when she kicked that...

“ What is now...?” Melody said...

“ It's a...It's an entrance...” Lavender said...

“ What do you think...? Let's go there...!” Shane said...

“ Yeah... Nothing can be worse than now...” Lavender said and went into the mirror...

“ You go first...” Shane said...

“ Ok...” Melody said and went near the mirror...She didn't dare to go inside...She looked at him...

“ Go...” Shane said...

“ You come...” Melody said... Shane could sense she is afraid... He held her wrist and...

“ Don't be afraid... I'm with you...” He said warmly... Melody held his arm with another hand and they both went inside the mirror...
