4-THE MYSTERY OF MINDS

“ Daydreams... Life feels like a daydream...And I just wish that I could wake up... I just wish that I could wake up...My mind... Whispers in the nighttime...Voices always keeping me up...telling me that I should...”

“ Will you please keep quiet...” Melody, who was sitting on the bed said looking at Shane who was sitting on the window sill and singing disturbingly...

“ So what should I do...? When will the King answer our questions...? A moment is feeling like years... If I only have my phone to kill time... And this ridiculous place, I don't think anyone had ever seen a phone...” He said closing his eyes leaning against the window door...

“ We all are likewise wanting the King to come soon...But it'll be great if you shut up your mouth...” Melody said...

“ What's the problem with my song...” He said sitting straight and looking at her...

“ Actually...” Lavender, who was lying on the couch said...“ The problem is not with the song... It's with your donkey-like voice...”

“ You ladies are two, so you can say whatever you want... I can't defend anything because I'm alone...” He said as leaning back...They both ignored him...

“ Why did they call you Queen...And let you sit on the throne beside the King...” Melody said putting the pillow beside...

“ How would I know...?” She said disinterestedly... Then she thought about her life... It was not so smooth but also not like now... She killed herself but yes, she is now missing her life...She realized how precious it was...

“ If I knew that I'm going to be in such a mess, then I would never think about suicide...” She said...

“ Yeah... I would also manage with a bicycle...” Shane said forcing them to laugh... They all laughed looking at each other... It was a tiny released moment in such a tough time...

“ I think I need water...” She said and stood up...“ You know what I think, we are not surviving without water... We just got some kind of strength or power to endure longer...Because I tried to focus on other things, but my thirstiness didn't go away like before...” She said as she sat on the bed beside Melody and held a glass from the table near it...Then she poured the water from the jar...

“ Is that so...?” Melody said...

“ I guess so...” She said and started drinking the water... It was so nice to feel as she hadn't been for a long time...At the same time, they heard the opening sound of the door...The door opened and they saw King Noah...Shane stood straight and Melody stood up from the bed as they saw him... Lavender hurried to stand up holding the glass...Accidentally, she started to choke badly...

“ Hey...” The King said reaching her... He took the glass from her hand and patted her back...

“ Why are you so haste...?” He said softly looking at her...“ Be careful...”

“ Thank you...” Lavender said looking down and took a few steps away from him...

“ And you...Why do you become so uncomfortable seeing me...?” He said looking at Shane and Melody... They didn't say anything and just looked here and there...

“So...That means you haven't remembered anything...” Noah said with a frown...“ I thought you would remember everything till now...But...”

“ Remember what...?” Lavender asked curiously...

“ Your past life...”

“ Look... We're already very tensed with our present life, and here you're adding a new topic...Please simply let us know the way out...” Shane said... That was exactly what Melody and Lavender were thinking...

“ It's not as simple as you think... Let's sit first...” He said and sat on the couch... Lavender and Melody sat on the bed... Shane sat on the window because he thought it was better than sitting beside that cold King...

“ I...I don't know where to start...” Noah said...

“ Start with the reason we reach here...” Lavender said...

“ The reason...It's me...” 

“ You brought us here...?” Melody said with a frown...

“ No... Your fate is like that... Our fate is like that...” He said and took a sigh of confusion...“Why are you not remembering anything...?”

“ We thought you are coming to give solutions but you're adding more questions...” Lavender said...

“ Trust me, you should remember everything...That's maybe because your bodies are still alive in the real world...!” Noah said...

“ We already knew...” Shane said...“That's why I said we're lost... Please give us a way to go back...”

“ But... You should be dead... How are you alive...But no problem...You're the creatures of Dream World... Your souls have the inner strength to let your body system stop... Just try to recognize that power and break the attachments that are causing your bodies to work... As soon as your bodies stop, you'll get all of your memories and powers back and you'll become real you again...”

“ What...What nonsense are you saying... Why would we make ourselves die... We want to go back to our homes...And what inner strength, creatures...?” Shane asked...

“ Yes... I just want to go back home... I've many goals and a lot of responsibilities... The people who love me will be really concerning for me...Please take us back to our homes...” Melody said hopefully... The way they said about their will to live and go away from him, was hurting his heart so deep... Noah could feel that they have moved on and forgotten him... But he decided not to give up... He would remind them about everything...

“ I'm sorry... I've become emotional and increased your confusions...” He said looking at them...“ I'll explain you from starting... This place is called Dream World... One of the hidden magical creations... The reason to be called Dream World is that this place was born from human's dreams and imaginations... A few ancient humans can visit here by their dreams...But not all know about that... After one hundred years of the human race, a powerful human being settled down here with his mate...A being who had magic...Then here started the cycle of life...People born, raised, and dead... One odd thing from the normal world is that people from here can live a double amount of years comparing the real world...I don't know the reason...Let's get to the point... Before 26 years, here lived a King and his beautiful family... He had a wife named Anora and a sister named Dylan...Anora had a younger brother Nash... They all were a happy family...But one day, a storm of fate came to their peaceful lives...It was a rebellion for the throne, likewise in the real world...The rebels didn't win but the king also lost...He couldn't save his family... He destroyed every tiny part concerning the rebels but couldn't get back his happy life... You know what was the name of that unfortunate King...? Noah..” Noah said as tears slightly filled his eyes at the last lines...Shane, Melody, and Lavender also felt very bad for him...

“ But how we are connected with that...?” Shane asked...The King closed his eyes and sighed... Then opened them back...

“ Shane... The younger brother of Anora was You!!!” He said making everyone's eyes wide...“ And my life, my little sister Dylan was you, Melody...And Lavender, you were Anora, my wife, my everything...” He said without stopping, letting out his feelings from the prison of heart...Then everything became silent...No one was looking at another...All were just looking down with their own emotions... Shane looked outside the window, not facing anyone anymore...Lavender and Melody were still... Noah was just filled with a lot of emotions...Everyone's eyes were holding tears...After a while of silence, Noah looked up again...

“ Then I found out that I can get you back if I have a very strong will...” Noah said as a whisper... “As we had a double amount of life, I can wait for you till you come back...Very less came back from their new life if only a part of them remain here... It's me, a part of you...As creatures from here have the magical strength of mind, we could use them to pull you back to us... It'll work only if our love is true and pure...But no one could assure me that you'll come back...It was something no one could control and was sure about... But Now... You all are here... I couldn't explain how I felt when I saw you after years... I don't want to lose you again...” Noah said with both smile and tears looking at all one by one... But none of them was looking at him, they all were handling their messing up feelings... Noah went near Melody and Lavender, and he kneeled in front of them... He held both of their hands softly and warmly like they'll be hurt if he comes to be careless and emotional...

“ A day wasn't passed without your memories...And now, you came back but half and incomplete... I don't know what is pulling you back from me but if you want, trust me, you can break that force... Use your strength of mind and come back to me again... completely...We'll...We'll live happily again like before...You couldn't imagine how I felt without you...It was hell... I'm afraid to be like that again...I don't want to lose you again...” He said as he put his head down and his tears fell on their hands...“ I beg you...Don't leave me again...” He said and both Melody and Lavender weren't able to hold their tears anymore...Even Shane was slightly crying...Then Noah stood up and went near Shane...Shane faced him...

“ Nash...please...At least you try to understand... I love all of you... I have nothing but you...please...I wouldn't be able to go through the same pain secondly...” He said...Shane moved his finger under his eyes and...

“ I don't know how to say it but...We are not the same anymore...We now have our own families and they all also are feeling like you now... You need to understand...”

“ How... How can you say such words... I didn't force you but I waited for you... I just tried to make you reach here instead of another life... Your present lives are ended in any case...It was a fate that no one could reject...You just need to try... Everything will be like before again...”

“ No... Our lives aren't ended yet... You also said that...We're alive...” Melody said standing up...

“ But you can end that...You can use your inner...” Noah said and stopped realizing that he was repeating that word but no one seemed to care... No one was interested to come back to him...No one was interested in the memories with him...

“ So...Do you still want to go away from me...?” Noah whispered very lowly...They didn't say anything...

“ I asked do you want to go away from me... Answer me...!!!!” He yelled with a very high tone... His powerful voice shook everyone's heart...

“Noah...?” Lavender said standing up...

“ We don't want to go away from you... We just want to go back to our loved ones...” Shane said coming near Melody who seemed to be so afraid... He held her with his arm warmly... Another drop of tear fell from Noah's eye...

“ I...I'm sorry... I need time... Melody, I didn't want to make you afraid...Don't hate your brother... I need time... Please forgive me... I need time...” He said and went towards the door... He went out of the room and closed the door behind... The closing sound of the door was so loud as he was so hurried to go away...Melody covered her face with her hands and cried out sitting on the floor... Shane didn't like her crying but all he could do was embraced her and give her his shoulder...Melody held him tightly and cried... Lavender looked at them for a while and she threw herself on the bed...She also couldn't help but cry out...It was a night of tears for that mysterious family...
