The Murderer

New year's day, at midnight a man was enjoying his own company in his house. Suddenly he heard a loud noise from his storage room. He went and saw but no one was there. He came to know that it was the sound of the bookshelf which fall to the ground. As soon as he arranged the shelf, a creature from his back haunted him and he becomes faint.

New year's day was enjoyed by a lot of people in California. But it became sad for one neighborhood. The police officers came to know that the man was murdered by someone. They have recorded all the traces but they did not find anything suspect for identifying the murderer. The police officers were so much confused about the murders that were happening in recent times in California.

They came to know that all these murders were done by the same murderer because he leaves the time when he kills the person in a paper. The case was shifted to the detective officers, Ben and Maria to take a further move in the case. Both were intelligent detectives and had solved very dreadful cases. They were good friends from their childhood. Ben said to Maria that it was just as easy as the other cases.

Maria laughed and said that even small mistakes, in this case, may lead them to death. They both started investigating the case. By all the time they found a common clue that all the time murders happened after 3 a.m which means the murderer kills his targets after 3 a.m midnight. They linked all the persons who were killed by the murderer and they decided to watch all the persons who were linked to the dead persons.

After two days, again a murder happened in California where both the detectives went there and inspected where they again found the paper which denoted the time 3:35. They found no other clue than that. After that incident, another two murders also happened and they did not find any clue in that also. Maria looked so stressed. Ben asked Maria to leave the case that he himself will solve this.

Maria refused and willed to stay but he denied it. From a point of view, Maria got a clue that the persons killed by the murderer were different by their jobs but they are all united by a group or committee. She analyzed deep in the murdered person's houses and got shocked that was a group of persons involved in many cases like harassment, abuse, etc.., and they were hiding their appearances from the Police.

She pointed out all the members in that group and matched it with the killed persons. She almost found that 9 of 10 people were murdered and still 1 person remained. As Ben was solving the case without her, she individually watched the remaining 1 person's activity in the night time in his house. She saw a person coming from a place wearing a mask. The person secretly entered the house and he started to dag him with a knife and also removed his mask saying some words to the person while dagging him.

Maria got shocked that it was her co detective Ben. She started to capture the moments with a camera and started to leave the place by running to her house. She came to know that Ben was one of the friends of the person in the group and that friend was the last person he killed. She decided to show all the evidence against Ben. After all this evidence, Ben was captured by the police. At last, Maria asked Ben why he had killed all these men. Ben in anger said that these people were criminals involved in abusing, harassing people.

He said that he was a friend of one of the people in that group. He identified the criminal activity of his friend and asked him to surrender. But he refused and his gang harassed him and gave mental torture to him and also to his family. He also said that he didn't report to the police because there are many psychos in that group. If he reports to the police only his friend will be punished and the others will escape. These psychos must be punished in a harder way. So he decided to revenge in his style like a detective on the outside and as a murderer inside.
