The Haunted Turn

Place - Shimla

Time - 1 a.m.

Nitin completed his shift in the office and he started his bike. On his way home, he saw many bikes and cars in which the persons are returning to their homes after completing the night shift in the office. It was Nitin's new job so it was really mandatory for him to work in all types of shifts. To earn, he has to work. He was helpless.

He was going on his own way through the highway. After going some way he took a turn to a "kaccha" road. The road was completely dark. There were no street lights. Nitin was feeling frightened. But he can't do anything regarding this because he was helpless. There were no such vehicles on the road. So there was no limit to his bike's speed.

He was going in his own way suddenly he heard a bike giving a horn from behind. Soon the bike came beside him. Nitin saw that on the bike there was a man and a woman wearing "salwar kameez". He thought them to be a couple. Soon the bike overtook Nitin.

After that suddenly a peculiar thing hits Nitin's mind that the dupatta of the woman was just near the tire of the bike. He thought that it would lead to a serious accident. So he speeded up his bike and reached for them. When he reached he saw that there was only the man who is riding the bike but his wife was missing. She was not there on the bike.

So Nitin asked the other man, "hello sir, where is your wife missing? I saw her just before some time. She was sitting just behind you. Actually, her dupatta was just near the tire of your bike which can lead to a serious accident. So I thought of informing you. By the way, where is your wife missing? Where's she gone?"

After hearing this, the man stopped his bike at the side of the road. Seeing him, Nitin also stopped his bike beside him. Nitin saw that the man was looking at him with a frightened eye. He was sweating a lot. The man asked;

The man; You saw a girl sitting on my bike's back seat?

Nitin: Yes.

The man: Became more frightened.

Nitin: Why are you sweating so much and looking so frightened?

The man: Actually I was going to my home after completing my shift in the office and I was alone riding the bike. There was no one with me nor have I given a lift to anyone.

Nitin: what? Seriously?

After hearing this, Nitin was completely frightened. He was shivering with fear. He started sweating. Both the man and Nitin were completely in astonishment. They both look together to their back, to the dark road. The road was dark and so scary. Suddenly they saw a black shadow of a girl which appear before them. They both screamed with fear. They immediately started their bike and rushed to their homes.

Finally, Nitin reached his home. After reaching home he checked the time by his watch. It was around 2 a.m.

Nitin was lying on his bed in his bedroom but he was not able to sleep. He became so frightened that in fact, the curtains of his bedroom's windows was seeming like the dupatta of that lady. The curtains were blowing because a strong wind was coming from the window. He got up from his bed to close the windows. After closing the windows when he turned back he saw the girl standing in front of him looking at him with big red eyes and with an angry face. Suddenly the girl jump over him and Nitin started to scream. Suddenly he opened his eyes and found out that it was a scary dream.

After that Nitin didn't go to the office for 2 days. But for how many days can he miss his office?

He has to go because it was his new job. So on the third day, he went to his office. But he was not able to concentrate on his work because he was continuously looking at his watch and checking the time. It was around 12:30 a.m. at night. The shift was over. Nitin started his bike and he was riding towards his home. While riding he was continuously thinking of that peculiar incident.

After riding from the highway he took a turn to that scary haunted road. While riding suddenly he heard the horn of a bike from behind him. The bike came beside Nitin and he was sweating with fear. He thought in mind that he would not look at the bike but after gathering some courage he looked towards the backseat of that bike. He saw no one was there except the biker. Seeing this he felt a lot relaxed. He saw the other man and gave him a smile. The man also looked at Nitin. Suddenly the man said to Nitin, "Hello brother, say your wife to sit properly. Her dupatta is blowing near the tire of your bike. It can lead to a serious accident."

Nitin was completely shocked and shivered with fear. He looked at the back of his bike. He saw a lady sitting on the back seat of his bike, holding him and looking at him with a scary smile....
