The Futuristic Office

The magnificent scanners swarmed all over me and the buzzer went off sending the security robots all over me. It was the wedding ring that by mistake I had in my pocket after the ceremony yesterday. The security robots despite my pleading flung it into the bin. It was considered security threat of the firm. 

Imagining how my day would be I walked down the passage leading to my cabin. Giant size cameras had pictures of me analyzed in different dimensions. The fingerprint scanner recorded my attendance. I need to punch it even for going to restroom and time would be deducted from the aggregate work hours. 

Then there was the AI assistant beaming a smile at me. With a thousand irrelevant solutions to my question I was to reach out to my assistant for everything. Then it was my robot boss who knocked at my door. 

After scanning my mind for thoughts other than the work, he rebuked in an unintelligible language. After ordering my AI assistant to have an eye on me and adjusting the several cameras to accurately focus on me he left the cabin.

The corporate life in 3020 was beyond what anyone can imagine being in 2021. All my colleagues were just wires and chips underneath their skin.
