The First Meeting....

I was sleeping peacefully at night when I heard you come in, you took a chance and decided to take a leap through the open window.

As you crept in, I could hear your laugh and hear your footsteps, soon the whole house was enveloped in your familiar scent.

I leapt out of bed delighted to see you and stood staring out for a long time!

We would do this every time, you came back after a trip, and it always felt like the first time! The first rains of the season remind me of the first time one sees a beloved after a long time...!

The joy of seeing the familiar face, the awkwardness of not knowing what to say, so you let your heart rule and open your arms to embrace, that's exactly what I did to the rain peeking in from the open window! I stood at the edge, letting the drops fall and kiss my face.

Oh, the sheer pleasure of the meeting, the scents of the first rains of the season! Pure bliss, there is just nothing like this!!
