The Perfect First Date

They decided to meet in person, after texting for a few weeks and speaking on the phone! It was the perfect nerdy date! They decided to meet in a bookstore. 

She was waiting for him wearing a pink dress with a red strapped bag and her signature sneakers. He came 5 mins before time, surprising her with his punctuality. He was wearing a casual shirt with jeans and sneakers. He had shaved as he knew that she preferred the clean-shaven look, some advantages of dating a nerd, their attention to detail is amazing!!! She just kept staring at those beautiful brown eyes! He smiled as he caught her eye……she blushed, slowly looking away!

He held out his hand, she smiled and put her tiny hands into his, he gently held her hands and guided her through the doors. The day was a Sunday afternoon, the store was partially full of kids and parents trying to find a way to distract the kids. They made their way to the first floor to the mystery and thriller section. Her enthusiasm was totally childlike, as energetic as a kid on a sugar rush! He couldn’t help chuckle looking at her, she seemed oblivious to the same. She spent a few minutes browsing through the books, just like him. She finally picked out a Nancy Drew novel and settled into one of the two armchairs to read. Her eyes while reading the back of the book, also seemed to follow him as he browsed through the magazines and selected a magazine – Auto Car. He also settled down opposite her and alternated between reading the magazine and staring at her!

It was an innocent start to a new friendship, or maybe something more!
