The Destiny Call - III

This park was her favourite spot, she really enjoyed visiting this place. As she was jogging in the park, something noticed her attention.

She saw someone looking similar sitting on the bench.

He was the same old man, who has been appearing in Swati's dream past 2 days. How was it possible, she was shocked to see him.

Few years after this incident......

Wow, this sounds exciting and scary. You met the same old man whom you saw in the dream. So, what happened next? What did he say to you? Did you become a doctor? she asked.

Swati smiled and reply, It's a long story. Before I tell you, did I fulfilled my dream, you need to know what happened when I met the old man I saw in my dream...

Though Swati was shocked to see that old man, she decided to go and talk to him. A part of Swati was scared, but more importantly, she had to know the answers.

Why was this old man appearing in her dream, again and again?

On the other side, the old man smiled seeing Swati approaching him as if he knew, this is going to happen.

Swati said, Hello, I am Swati and I know this may sound weird, but I have been seeing you in my dreams for the past few days. And the weirdest part is, I see the same dream again and again.

Just to narrate to you my dream, it goes like this, you knock at my door and when I open the door for you, you say,

Hi Swati, How are you? I am aware of your dream of becoming a doctor, but destiny has some different plans for you. And when this happens, you'll be prepared to take it on. You are a very strong and brave girl and I am sure you'll excel in it.

Swati then continued, I just don't understand the meaning of this dream at all. 

Why would you say my destiny has some different plans for me and when that happens I'll be prepared for it?

I have never met you, how do you know my name and my dream and why would you tell me that my dream would not come true?

Please help me. The past few days have gone crazy for me, I fought with my parents and then my best friend, who was trying to support me and instead of appreciating her support, I got angry with her.

And is it a mere coincidence that today I found you sitting here in the park as if you were waiting for me?

The old man was silently listening to the questions raised by Swati. He smiled and said, Hi Swati, It's nice to meet you in person. How are you? I am aware of your dream and sorry that dream has been troubling you. But Swati, there is always a reason behind everything that happens to us. 

I know everything about you. Your parents are doctor, and you wish to be a renowned doctor too. You love your parents and your best friend "Naina" loves you a lot.

Now to answer your big question " Do I know you?

So my answer is " Yes, Swati. I know you very well, far better than you can even imagine.

And what I said in your dream is very true.

You are destined for something bigger than you can even imagine!!

The big question is " Are you ready to listen and accept it? And more importantly " Do you trust me?

I know, it's very difficult to comprehend for you now, what I am saying, and maybe coming from a stranger your doubts are pretty valid.

But Swati, you need to know the big picture, before you come to a conclusion.

Swati was perplexed listening to the old man, She said, I am sorry, but whatever you are saying is not making any sense to me.

This is is the first time I am seeing you and you claim that you know me more than I know about myself. And then the dreams, when I don't know you, how can I trust you?

The old man said, Swati, I understand your concerns, but let me show you something, that might imbibe some confidence in you.

He took out a photograph from his pocket and handed it to Swati to see.

Swati took the photo from his hand to shocked the photograph.

It was " Her" photograph, dressed as a dancer.

How on earth do you have my photograph. And why am I dressed as a dancer?

Wait, this might be a morphed image since I am not a dancer?

And why are you there in the photograph?

 How do I know you, when I am meeting you for the 1st time?

Swati, I understand you have too many questions, but if you give me some time I can explain to you.

Even before the old man could say something, Swati panicked and said, "I need to get out of here. This all is not real, this is again some weird dream.

The old man said, "Swati, I know you are not in the position to understand what I am trying to say, but I know you'll come back tomorrow.

I'll be waiting for you tomorrow here only.

Without replying to him, she ran as fast as she could to her home. Her heart was beating fast when she reached home her parents were not there at home.

She was scared, she had to tell this incident to someone about her encounter with that old man and about the photograph.

She felt bad about the way she spoke to her parents prior to this, on the other side she fought with Naina too. Naina and Swati were childhood buddies, so she was confident she could share it with Naina at least.

Their last conversation didn't go well, but they were childhood buddies and cared for each other.

So, Swati called up Naina and said, 'Hi Naina, I am so sorry for my behaviour. I am sorry for being rude to you earlier. Can you forgive me, please?

Naina said, "Swati, we are childhood buddies, you don't need to worry anything about it. I know you were tensed and it's OK. We all are there for you. No need to say sorry. 

Swati said, "Naina, I need to tell you something important. But you need to promise you'll not tell this to anyone.

Naina promised and Swati narrated the whole incident to her including her encounter with that old man, the photograph and how the old man said, he knows Swati better than she knows herself. And he has some very important thing to tell her if she could trust him. He also said that he even knows that how Swati got angry with her parents and with her best friend "Naina"

The biggest shock was, he said he'll wait for her tomorrow and he was confident, she'll come to meet him.

Naina was listening patiently to her and replied, "Swati, I know you are scared, maybe you can share it with your parents. But again they might try to stop you from meeting him. I know the dreams have been giving you a lot of trouble, but if this man has the answers to your questions, we need to meet him.

There is a possibility the photo is morphed, but we need to know what information he wants to share with us.

How come he has your photograph as a dancer with him? Who is this man? How does he know you?

We need to meet him Swati. I know it's scary, but if we go together it may be easy for us?

Swati I don't know but I am getting a feeling, this man knows something really big and important related to you. Let us go together and find the answers.

Swati was actually happy listening to Naina and said," Naina, Thank you so much. I was scared before, but listening to you that "We" ll go and find out the truth behind this actually gives a lot of courage to me.
