"The Queen's Advance"
All is dark in this room except for the little bit of light being provided by a single torch. Cautiously; Romeelus inches forward. "Where is she?" he asks with searching eyes. At this point the man in black has no idea what lies ahead. The queen is the most powerful and versatile piece. She could be planning anything. He fingers his axe "Stick with me axe, I know I can always depend on you." To the right Romeelus notices a fountain. His lips smack as he notices he is very thirsty. His mouth is very dry, and he is sweaty and hot. Perhaps it is because of these things that he allows his normally suspicious mind to drop his guard. Glancing around nervously he spies no-one. Quickly, he gulps in the cool refreshing water. In the distance he hears the rustling of clothing. Up ahead and to the right he notices a beaded doorway. He is wondering why there is no chess pattern. He figures the beaded doorway is his destination so with his thirst sated he fearlessly steps through.
The chess board pattern has returned but it is mostly hidden by the huge king-sized bed in the middle of the grid. On top of it of course is the Queen. A transparent sheet is all that covers her well proportioned body. Her face is stunning and he is left breathless. He is taken aback because he was expecting a fight. With a devilishly seductive smirk she beckons him forward. Before he can stop them his feet pull him forward automatically.
"I've been expecting you!" she states matter of factly. Romeelus tries to look away but find his eyes compelled.
"She truly is a beautifully creature" he reminds himself. The tough fighting bounty-hunter was quickly succumbing to the queen. What he fails to realize is that the fountain that he innocently drank from was a drug. It dulls the senses and allows the queen to hypnotize him easily. To add to the effect she drops the sheet. A smile surfaces un-hesitantly on the bounty-hunter's face. Feeling lust in his loins he starts to remove his armor. A smile wicked in nature crawls onto her face. She starts to lightly caress his face. Once he is naked he starts his advance on her. Without hesitation she welcomes his kiss and his tongue drives itself deep inside her mouth. Rough calloused hands go up and down her sides. They yearn to touch her sensitive areas. Somehow they manage to keep themselves innocent. When their lips part she makes her mistake.
"Did all those men hurt you bad?" she asks trying to sound sympathetic. This question triggers some memories into his tired but strong mind. He pauses. All action stops as the man in black stops and thinks. His drugged mind still can't bring the memory to focus. The queen tries to rectify her error. "Focus your attention this way!" she commands. The bounty-hunter glances up and she is lying down with her legs spread. "Come and get it!" she says seductively. He takes a step forward, but this time he hesitates. Flashes of battles come into his head. Another image of a female fighter with red hair quickly comes into focus then fades. He grabs his axe off the floor. Un-sheathing it he stares at the queen. As soon as he does so a greenish glow travels up his arm and arcs into his head.
"ARRRGGGHHH!" he screams. Finally, his eyes open. His head is clear. The axe's magical properties allow him to heal and flush out impurities from his body. He remembers his mission to rescue Sasha and the thought of her watching him doing something with this woman drives him to rage. "Nice trick! Poisoning the water and using your harlot magjc to entice me. But it is over now!" Still naked he advances on her with his axe in hand. With an air of indifference she closes her legs. Un-afraid she laughs in his face.
In two quick strides, he gets close to her. Her laughter is cut short by his punch to her face. Her eyes narrow and her face seems to disappear. In a dramatic transformation her skin peels off and he can see her for what she really is. A black widow spider.
"I'm tired of these tricks!" he snarls. With a speed that surprises even the queen the bounty-hunter swings his axe and splits the eight eyes into two sections of four. In a rage of his near infidelity, he hacks and chops until the twitching spider is eyeless, legless, and bodiless. When his anger is sated he begins to dress. An hour later he is ready to face King Felkinor.
