The stars which are always there in the sky even when we can't see them exist to beautify our world, like wise parents are always there for their child beautifying his world. Their love for the child never vanishes even though on some busy days of life, he isn't able to feel it. They make numerous sacrifices just to see a beautiful curve of smile on their child's lips which makes their life alluring.

Fudge was a beautiful lady, married to Tayer, a man older than her. Inspite of age differences between the two, the couple loved each other very much. Every thing was going right but one thing which worried them was that even after so many years of their marriage, they'd still no child. Tayer longed for a smile on Fudge's face, so did Fudge who was always upset because she used to think that she couldn't provide her husband & his family the happiness of a child, a heir, an angel and any source of joy.

Both of them left no stone unturned to hear that good news. They went to Saints, visited shrines and other holy places of the valley to pray. Their families, too were impatiently waiting for their child and with their continuos prayers, one day the Almighty heard their pleas.

On one cold day of Chillaekalan, Fudge screamed due to pain in her body. Her husband rushed her to hospital. The weather was chilly. Everything was covered with snow all around. Vehicles moved at slow pace on slippery roads. Eventually after being admitted there, she gave birth to a baby boy.

Everyone was very happy. Fudge knew no bounds of her joy & Tayer's face brightened with smile when he came to know that he'd become a 'Father'. The families of the couple rejoiced and celebrated. Their relatives congratulated them and gave blessings to the baby. The baby boy was named Vasad.

Everyone in the family loved Vas'ad as he was the first baby boy born in the home. His family brought him up with great care. He was the apple of his mother's eye and for his father, he was source of a million smiles. His parents were content and they wanted nothing but happiness of their only child. They used to play with him, trying their best to keep him blissful and away from every sort of trouble and difficulty.

One day, Vas'ad was playing in the garden when he heard the bell rung by the baloon seller, sound of which was coming from the backside of his house. He quickly ran towards the ring until he saw the baloon seller, who by then was had almost crossed the road. Vasad's eyes fell on green beautiful balloon with white spots on it. He was so attracted on seeing it that he hurried out and tried following the baloon seller with his maximum pace. He reached to the main road and stood still for a minute or so, as the road was busy with traffic. He would've waited for the road to get a bit cleared but his desperation for the balloon didn't let him to. So as he was rushing across the road, a brown colored bus hit him, leaving him badly injured with blood flowing from his head and covering his face. All the pedestrians and nearby shopkeepers took him to the dispensary and informed at his home too. His parents, on hearing about this accident were in shock. Soon, the family rushed to the hospital's emergency ward where Vas'ad was admitted. Fudge cried streams of tears and Tayer's face had turned pale due to distress. They were dumbfounded, praying to their Lord for the safety of their child. The doctor came out of the ward and comforted them by saying that they 'd achieved success in saving Vas'ad but he 'd got internal injuries in his skull. The couple couldn't stop their tears but thanked their Lord for protecting the child. After few weeks, Vas'ad was discharged from the hospital and brought back home. The accident'd affected him severely but even in thise times of adversity, his parents didn't lose hope. Vas'ad couldn't walk on his own. His body kept trembling and he couldn't even talk properly.

Seeing her child, Fudge used to cry silently, but with the support of Tayer and other family members she never gave up on her child. She used to make her child exercise & used to make him walk. There was a lot of improvement in Vas'ad's condition and after many efforts of his family along with their sincere prayers, he once again became a normal boy as before. Now his parents'care for him increased ten folds. He was provided with everything he asked for. His mother used to make sweet and delicious dishes for him and his father used to try his best to make every facility available to his child in every possible way he could. Vas'ad's parents just wanted his well being and good health and nothing else. They had just forgotten themselves in the verge of his care. They loved him deeply and couldn't think of living without his existence.

Seeing their child happy was the dream of the couple and not only the couple's but the whole family's dream. Vas'ad's smiles made the life seem colorful for all the family members. Now Vas'ad and his family lived a happy, blissful life for the next few years and again the problems knocked their door.

One evening, when the family was having dinner, an earthquake of high intensity struck the valley. "Beneul!!", everyone screamed in horric and evacuated their homes.

Vas'ad's family too ran outside the house for the sake of their lives, leaving the dinner as it was. The earthquake continued just for few seconds and then stopped.

After about half an hour, when situations seemed normal, everyone entered their houses. Now Vas'ad, with his family continued having dinner. As the night fell, silence occupied the house. Vasad too was sleeping soundly in his bed but all of a sudden, an aftershock hit hard due to which a metal curtain rod fell from height on Vas'ad's head, leaving him all unconscious with his body trembling. On hearing the loud thud of the rod, Vas'ad's parents ran to his room where they saw tha his body had turned ice cold and his body was continuing to tremble and stopped only after few minutes. They tried waking Vas'ad up but he wouldn't open his eyes. This time, Fudge couldn't tolerate and she screamed out of her inner pain. She could no longer see her beloved child in such a situation. She could no longer hold herself from crying and she cried. She 'd thought that her child was dead. The family tried to comfort her but she listened to no one. Was'ad's grand mother on seeing him started screaming loudly. But Vas'ad slowly began opening his eyes.

On seeing this, his family took a sigh of relief. Fudge couldn't believe that her child was back but she was silent due to the shock, staring at her child with eyes full of tears. Vas'ad couldn't see her mother like this and he smiled which comforted Fudge and Tayer to some extent but they eagerly waited for the dawn.

As soon as the sun of the new day rose, both the couple with their child rushed to the doctor who after examining Vas'ad and seeing all the medical reports revealed to the couple that this recent incident had once again caused deep injury and worsened his previous skull injuries and that they had to make themselves brave enough to face frightful, tremendous seizures of their child more often now. Although he prescribed some medicines but yet he was of the view that those medicines couldn't entirely prevent the seizures.

The heart broken parents with their ill lucked child (though they never made him feel so) returned home and the whole family broke in tears. But it could hardly help them. They put on iron masks to face the situations and believed firmly in the Almighty's help.

After some months, Vas'ad faced a second seizure & then a third and even fourth one in a couple of years. Both Vas'ad and his family were now used to it. It always used to hurt Vas'ad to see his parents worrying just because of him. He wished that he could be a source of smile for his parents.

His parents always worried and over-cared for him. He wasn't allowed to remain away from home for a long time. He wasn't permitted to drive or go anywhere alone. He was always kept away from study stress. Vas'ad started looking this extensive care as an intense restriction for him. This situation of his had made him see his parents as enemies and hurdles in his life though deep down he knew that they did so just for his benefit but with his increasing age not always did he think like this. He wanted to be free to enjoy his life. . He used to get obsessed with his over-caring parents and wished to be treated like other children.

Vas'ad was intelligent in studies and that was the only field he was intelligent in. He always scored good and his teachers loved him.

He passed his class tenth examination with flying colors. His parents were delighted but they didn't want him to take his studies too much seriously so they didn't present him any gift on his good marks.. He was astonished to know that his parents gifted him nothing even on his brilliant success & his friends(even those who'd hardly managed to pass the exams) received costly bikes, watches and mobile phones started taunting him. He was fed up with the everyday taunts. He was very disappointed by his parents but he didn't know that his parents didn't want to lose him in any way. They 'd never pressurized him & they never wanted him to work hard because they cared too much for him At this time he couldn't understand his parents and couldn't see through their perspective. He started taking his parents for granted and began hating them. He became arrogant to them and used to scold them. He started spending most of his time outside the home and used to act as if he was a stranger in his own home.

His parents tolerated all this but their care was still the same for their child. Vas'ad now didn't pay attention to his studies because he thought even if he secured good marks in his exams, he would receive nothing as a gift from his parents. He managed to pass his class11th and 12th exams but couldn't make it to the CLAT entrance exams. His other friends laughed on his failure.

In these hard times, it was his parents only who supported him. They just never cared or pressurised him to crack the entrance exams but they were only focussed on his good health. Seeing the support of his parents, he realized that he'd misunderstood them. He realised that they never wanted him to work hard and make them happy but the only thing for achieving their happiness was to take care of just his ownself. He felt very sorry and begged to forgive his mistakes. He once again started loving them because at the end it was only their support which encouraged him when everyone else left on seeing his failure.

He got enrolled in a well known institution of Kashmir and continued studies till he pursued PhD. He became a good professor of Economics and served society and his parents.

He just wanted to see them happy with smile on their faces, for it was the only thing dearest to him, though he knew that he could never pay them for their made sacrifices even if he was given a hundred lives.

But we should always remember that even the brightest star turns into a black hole after living for almost ten billion years. We know that every soul will sooner or later face death and before that time, we should know the worth of these loved creatures and spent beautiful moments of life with them till they become just memories.
