I purchased a precious silk saree for my mama from my first salary, a costly kurta piece for my papa and a wristwatch for Mohit. Only in the hostel, I realise, I forgot me. I was spinning a cobweb for a long time to trap well-known novels, and exotic paintings to decorate my walls. I had also a funny desire, that I had not disclosed to anyone; to buy varieties of beautiful night dresses.

How could I forget my longing? Probably I sent gifts to them, whom I love more than myself.

My parents were grinning from ear to ear, receiving my gifts. Mohit was a bit late to get it. He was calling me ripple-less as before like my wellbeing, my preparation etc. He was no more personal and elaborating his mind.

One day a phone call banged my cellphone. Receiving the call, it blasted with elegance, 'I am on the corridor of your city. If you hesitate, I shall kidnap you within 2 hours of the flight. Your policy cannot stop me. In the end, he giggled. In fact, he tickled pink.

So many seasons flew without Aryan. His voice retreated my nerves and mind to the past. I was losing control of my heart. Like the melody of the forgotten soundtrack, his voice travelled through my city of nerves at lightning speed.

I was mustering the courage to hit him for his treachery. 'Your brain lost track of mine and resumed a new punch with Bhavna. Any specific reason to rewind?

He laughed as loudly as a victorious king of the seventh heaven, 'Bhavna is buzzing in Frankfurt with her honey. He is a top-ranking file in the Indian embassy. Really did you believe my affair with the chic?

-Words have dried out of my mouth.

-You reminisce those grand days on the campus when I was drizzling and you were drowned and collecting plumeria blooms. The entire college was zealous about our brimming affair. I didn't suspect you with Mohit. Why are you so jittery about Bhavna?

He was unnerving me with his glib tongue. Though I trusted his logic, my heart was disbelieving him. My mouth could not connect to my thoughts. 'How many dark nights, I had chased you breathless? How many times, your memory has bled me? How many sleepless nights had cracked me? How many days do I run without food? Have you kept account of that? Yeah! I said to myself, 'I tried to forget you. But you crept into my mind more and more. He occupied the throne of my heart forever. It was my compulsion. Finally, I opened my mouth,' I am so sorry to find you losing Bhavna. Don't worry. So many beautiful damsels may be waiting with garland Casanova. Charlie.
