Super Powers

As a kid, I have always dreamt of having a superpower. And, you also must have dreamt about it, hit like if you agree. But real superpowers are not the ones which superman or spiderman possesses. You can be a superhero by just helping each other for the sake of humanity.

Once there was a girl named Lilly. She always dreamt of having super natural powers with which she can conjure up her own castle or become the most powerful person on earth. One day, God granted her wish and said," If you want superpowers, cross the hill in between the two villages. On the foot of the hill, there will be a small cottage. talk to the wizard in there and he will grant you your wish. Take this loaf of bread with you and give it to him."

Lilly was very happy. The next day, she took some food and water and the loaf of bread. She set out on her journey.

She was climbing the hill when she saw a small hut. She heard the sound of children crying in there. Suddenly, their mother came out. She started asking for food. Lilly felt sorry for her and gave all her food to them. The thankful mother said, "Thank you, kind girl. I will follow you on your journey so I could repay you."

The mother left her children in the hut with the fruits. Now, Lilly and the mother continued their journey. After travelling a distance, Lilly saw a bird strangled in a kite. She freed the bird and went ahead. The bird also started following her. Again, she saw more hungry people and animals, almost on the verge of dying of hunger. She thought, "I only have this loaf of bread left but this is for the wizard. What should I do?" She went ahead but when she heard their pitiful sounds again, she said, "Don't worry, I only have this loaf of bread and you all can have it."

All the people started following her. By dawn they all reached the wizard's cottage. When the wizard saw that Lilly had come there without any food or gift for him, he said, "This is an outrage! Everyone here knows you cannot come here without making a donation to me. I will curse you......"

Suddenly, the mother shouted, "Wait! Don't curse her. She helped me and all of us. She had a gift for you but she gave it to us so we wouldn't die of hunger. She is like a superhero to us and we will not let you kill our superhero."

The wizard said in a calmer voice, "A superhero, you say. Lilly, I forgive you and do you still want superpowers."

Lilly was very happy. But then she thought and said, "No. I am perfectly fine for what I am. If these people can love me for who I am, why can't I? And, I have the greatest superpower of them all. The faith of these people and a feeling called humanity, unity and more."

Instead of cursing them, the wizard blessed them all and every one of the village lived happily-ever-after.

So, I just want to say, superpowers can buy the affection of other people but humanity can attract faith automatically.
