Spectrum Of Life- Color Black
Sharma's household was brimming with activity. One could see people rushing from inside the house to outside and vice versa. The house was spruced up and looking its best and so were the people of the house. The main characters were Sharma, a senior officer in a Bank, in his early fifties. There is Mrs Sharma a housewife, traditional yet modern in her outlook. Ramya their daughter just finished her MBBS and Rahul, their son, pursuing engineering. The atmosphere was charged with suspense, anticipation and eagerness. The Occasion today was, that a boy and his parents were coming to see Ramya for accepting her into their family!
But there is a twist in the story! The boy was known to Ramya from her high school days. They chose different streams of study in due course. While Ramya joined MBBS, the boy Ravi, got admission to IIT. By no means he was a boy but was a young man, six-foot-tall, handsome and highly Sophisticated. He was waiting to join a job he was recently offered. They were always in touch and had decided to get married and had the support of their parents. The parents never met each other before, the families were going to meet today. Today's arrangement was the idea of Rahul who wanted to go the retro and traditional way of meeting, similar to an age-old practice. Once upon a time marriages were fixed by the elders in this manner and were quite successful too.
The groom’s party arrived and pleasantries were exchanged and much more happened. All that begins well, ends well too! But one thing not to be missed was that the boy exuded Sophistication, Elegance and oodles of power and unmistakably the colour was Black. Black is the colour represented by Young men, of authority, Self -confidence and Power stemming from the confidence of educated men, who have the guts to tackle any obstacles and achieve their goals.
