Silence is necessary at times

Two friends together, sitting beside a river, silently. With thousands of thoughts fleeting through their mind, eyes fixed upon the movement of the river, yet they know they are for each other. Our words can't be shared with everyone, but our silence can rarely be understood by anyone. 

Understanding words is simple. Use your logic, you get the meaning. But silence, only close ones can get it. Close means can be anyone, be it friends or family. Not everyone can understand the reason behind someone's silence. It needs special concern and understanding. 

Some situations need our silence, not our foolish words. Silence can save us from big problems and greater difficulties. 

Some insulting behaviors can be replied to with silence. It needs no arguments. 

When elders are scolding us for our faults, we should keep quiet instead of arguing which hardly today's generation do. 

When the situation is out of our hands, and we have nothing to do, we should maintain silence. 

Nowadays, love stories have no silence in them. Hardly any couples are seen silently sitting by a lake, close to nature. They are always in hurry in doing something or the other, having fights over issues, comparison, demands, and conflicts. They are to be there. I am not ignoring them. But where is the essence of love? 

How many love stories end in marriage? Hardly few. 

How many platonic love stories are seen nowadays? Very rare. 

Friend's love we can still see now. They become good guardians. They can understand our silence to a quite good extent. 

Nowadays, there is hardly any platonic love between couples. But that is the everlasting one. Romance fades away with time. But platonic do exist forever. Spending time together quietly or having a cup of coffee is quite romantic with platonic flavor.

Parents love us, support us, sacrifice for us. How many times they say, 'I love you'? Hardly they say. But they always love us truly. 

Care, concern, holding hands together at times growing old together all fall in the world of true love. Silently you care, silently you sacrifice, silently you love.

Silence also is an action and it speaks louder than words. 

Silence is practiced by the wise. Silence can only be attained by a person when he or she has attained a level of maturity and has the power to understand the situations. 

Sacrifice, donation and great things should be done silently.

'An empty vessel sounds much' and 'Still waters run deep' are famous proverbs and it's very true. The more silent a person, the deeper mystery he or she has and the bigger history they create. It's not only silence that gives us success, many parameters determine it, but it is one of the parameters to achieve success. 

But sometimes, when you are a coward and want to run away from a situation, leaving the other end at a greater stake, just because of some misconceptions, is a misuse of silence. Silence can even create bigger harm for the other end. It's a great thing and should be used in a constructive manner and not destructively. 

When a person is full and has learned the meaning of life and people, silence can be practiced. It should be meant to be used in a positive manner and not in a negative manner. It should be used to practice solitude and not loneliness. 

Silence should be helpful for oneself and others but not harmful for either.
