I woke up with the usual thought - why did my alarm fail to ring?

The thought was usual but the sight in front of me was awfully unusual. The yonder sky was darker than erebus and the monotonous, eerie blackish- blue clouds filled it. All around me was the rubble of the civilization where I resided until yesterday. My body refused the thought of standing up to search for the answer to the very main question - what happened?

A drop of rain fell on my nose, scattering and fragmenting my contented emotions.

I sat up on the pile of building wreck. There was a heart-dropping silence. Silence louder and more piercing than the sound of a close rocket launch. My ears were going deaf from the ultimate silence. I yelled, but it seemed like I was an absolute mute. The world had come to a standstill and without an audio clip. Even while the winds were blowing fast and I could feel it brushing against my skin giving me goosebumps, there wasn't a single thing moving. Not even the leaves of the tree which suddenly became dry.

I lifted my hand to cover up my ears in order to escape this noisy silence, when I felt something warm flowing on my skin. I analysed what that blackish fluid was and the conclusion left me devastated. I realised the fact that the world wasn't mute. The muteness resided in me as my ears were gone. My skin must have gone numb because of the pain.

My body trembled, my heart reached my throat and my anxiety made frequent breaths impossible. I could see the reddish black fluid, I could feel it. Besides the red fluid, there was a crystal clear line of tears flowing from my eyes. The sorrowful rain was overcoming the natural rain.

I gathered up my will and turned around. I slipped down the wreck hill. My legs, hands and back were badly bruised and torn just like my clothes during the fall.

I was bewildered and terrified. My jaws dropped and my soul and body were united. Infront of me, laid an infinite ocean of  the hands of people who died while escaping from the wreck and ruins.

Some hands had glasses pierced in them. My body froze and my mind become blank.

Near my house, which is now a ruin, flowed an artificial modular lake. The Swans in the lake were either dead or were covered with thick coal tar. A strong, distinct coughing smoke of burning made my eyes and lungs burn.

My injuries didn't allow me to explore. I could feel my uncontrollable huffs and cries. As far as I glanced, my soul got more tattered. I was gone thoughtless. My eyes were getting blurry because of the smoke and tears. The rain increased its pace.

My nervous, trembling, cold and emotionless body screamed through its trembling and mad-like state.

I was going to close my eyes with the hope of hopeless death when a blinding light fell on my face. I struggled to see through it. No sooner did  sight become clear than my heart beat stopped for a second, as now I actually knew  what exactly happened.
