Sheru, a little lion cub accidently strayed into a village. That was one month ago. He was in a fun and frolic mood chasing a butterfly with beautiful and symmetrical wings. He was moving with the wind and was doing everything as his father, Kion, had taught him. He was tired playing with the other cubs and so he had taken permission from his mother, Luna, to freely roam in the jungle, not too far away, and see the tall trees and saunter on the crackling, dark- brown dried leaves. Sheru, was having a nice time all by himself. His father, Kion, was the leader of the pride and the king of the jungle, so Sheru was the prince. Kion had many of the birds, as ministers, who would fly over their area and tell Kion by evening the news of the area.

Sheru was chasing the butterfly not seeing his surroundings. He had come to the line where the jungle ended and the village boundary started. He was chasing the butterfly that wasn’t even seeing him and it was just going towards the fresh flowers which were being grown in the fields. Soon, Sheru found that he was far too away from the jungle when the shady trees just got away and the scorching summer heat started warming him up. He, without a second thought ran into bush and hid there so that no human could see him.

He tried making himself comfortable but he had to sit cramped in the small space. Soon the farmer of that land came to irritate his crops. As he went near that bush he saw that the leaves were rustling. He looked through by separating the branches and saw a lion. He without thinking anything else ran inside his house and locked the door. He heaved a deep sigh of relief and then he called the animal emergency center, telling them what had happened.

The van came with sirens. They saw the situation. They didn’t want to make the lion cub dizzy for he was very small, nor did they want to take risk. By now Kion was looking for Sheru for not coming back when one of his minister birds came and told him all about it. Kion quickly made a superb plan. The minister bird went to the bush where Sheru was and told him what the plan was.

Soon a lion came out of the jungle and roared fiercely. The forest officers, not wanting anyone to die, quickly shot him and made him dizzy, by now the minister had led Sheru the path back home. The other lion was kept in a cage for a week and then he was let inside the forest. Sheru had learnt his lesson and he promised to always be careful.

Now Sheru is the king of the jungle and till now he hasn’t forgotten the incident. He governs all the animals and he is very just.
