Shadow Is Alive..........................

Charu was tired and tried to sleep. She was in bed and heard some sound, it was around 10 o’clock at night. She woke up, switched on the light of her room, and opened the door to know wherefrom the sound come from? She could hear the sound was from her grandmother Sheryl Varghese’s room. She ran towards that room and saw her grandmother is sleeping and she is in deep sleep. She slept forever. The nurse informed her that she is no more………Charu couldn’t believeit. This can’t happen to her. No, her grandmother the strong, brave, and ambitious Sheryl Varghese can’t leave her………… She sat near her…. She touched her forehead……She called her slowly…… She took her hand in her hand and the tears started rolling down from her eyes, Charu couldn’t control them. She was feeling as if something from her heart been missed. The other people including the staff and neighbors started coming, her relatives were been informed. She called the doctor to come and check. She was completely broken. She was only looking at her dearest grandmother Sheryl Varghese…….

Her grandmother Sheryl Varghese was very powerful and famous. Though she was one of the richest persons in the city, she never had any ego. She was always at the help of needy people. At the same time, she was very positive regarding her darling granddaughter Charu and family name. She had always thought of giving the best education to Charu. She kept Charu away from her. Charu was sent abroad when she was only fourteen years old to study. But Sheryl always was in touch with her and at least twice a year she used to go to US to meet her dear Charu. As Charu was growing, she was looking like the young Sheryl. This look of Charu always gave pride to Sheryl. She wanted to give many more to her dearest Charu. Sometimes Sheryl told Charu about this that Charu is young Sheryl. She told Charu to set her own dreams and motivated Charu to set her own goals. Sheryl was strong enough to absorb all pains, she wanted to see the smile in her dearest Charu’s face always. Charu had never felt lonely due to the love and affection of Sheryl.

Charu was there with her grandmother and never wanted to leave her. Now she is thinking about how she can have a life without her? But at the same time, she felt as if Sheryl was saying to her,” you are my shadow…..you are my love….you are the strongest lady….you have born to win….you are the pride of the family’’.

Then she felt someone’s hand on her shoulder. She looked back and saw one old man was standing there and saying to her,’’ have patience my child, you have to go a very long way, you have to fulfill the dreams and desires of your grandmother. She is within you. You are the young Sheryl Varghese. Now let us prepare for the funeral. It’s morning now. Go and meet the people gathered here’’.Charu was surprised and not able to make out who this old man is? Then she heard him saying,’’ I am your Vincent uncle’’. Now Charu could remember from her memory that several times her grandmother Sheryl had told her about this old man. Then she stood up and greeted him and accompanied him to meet the people waiting outside the house. She could see hundreds of men and women gathered there and all were praying for her grandmother. Some were crying and some were in a deep shock. Charu felt pain inside her stomach but could wonder to know how much her grandmother been loved by so many people. She could now start to realize the power of Sheryl Varghese, the strong, intelligent, daring, and rich lady.

At that point of time, Vincent uncle introduces Charu to all saying,’’ here is the princess, loved one and heir of our great Sheryl Varghese, her granddaughter Charu’’. Then Charu could see all of them welcomed her by bowing down their head. They started murmuring and some elderly persons came close to Charu and sat on their knees to pay respect to her. They were saying ,’’ we love you, Sheryl…’’

At that point in time Charu could understand the real power and love of her grandmother Sheryl Varghese. Now she started getting the strength to face the entire world. She could feel as if her grandmother is with her and said with a smile on her face,’’ I am happy my angel you are here. I am happy my dear that you now taking my place. I am happy that you will get much more pride in our family. I am always with you. Go ahead my dear, take care of all. Even complete the jobs left in halfway. Discover the things, which were gone being unnoticed. I know you can do it .’’

Charu looked at Vincent uncle and asked ‘’when the rituals will start? Vincent uncle told her,’’ within a hour's time we will start it’’. Then Charu waved her hands to all gathered there and told them,’’ my dearest ones I lost my grandmother and you lost your dearest Sheryl, but actually she is not gone. She is here with you and within me. We will begin from where she stopped. Let us pray. Within a hour's time, the rituals will start as Vincent uncle is saying. Thank you all for being with me’’.

Then Charu moved and started to go to the place where the preparations for the funeral is going on. Vincent uncle was with her. She could see the smile of confidence in her Vincent uncle’s face. She could even hear people saying,’’ we have our Sheryl with us now.’’ Charu was wondering how could she speak like that? How come she is getting the strength to do things? Must be these are due to the love and blessings of her grandmother Sheryl. She reached the hall, saw all were at work and had small supervision, and left for the sitting room along with Vincent uncle. There they sat and both were silent for a while and Vincent uncle broke the silence. He started talking to Charu about the history of their family and Charu was giving a patient hearing.

Vincent started with Sheryl’s family………………..

Sheryl Varghese is from a renowned princely family. After the independence too their family was very popular among the people. Sheryl‘s parents were very rich and kind-hearted persons. Both of them were social reformers too. They always fought for the causes of educating the needy and poor and widows. They fought against the torture of widows by priests. Sheryl was married and settled in Cochin.Sheryl was too very intelligent and kind-hearted. Your biological grandfather was the first husband of Sheryl Varghese, who died in a road accident. Then to take care of the business, properties and handle the family Sheryl Varghese married Anthony Delsworth. Anthony was a very brave and nice person too. He never interfered in Sheryl’s family matters. Sheryl took care of her son and his family. When you were born Sheryl was so delighted that as if she got what she wanted. Anthony too was with her and that time it was one of the biggest celebrations in the family. As you were growing, Sheryl had taken all the best care for you. Sheryl’s parents were been killed by the goons with the help of powerful politicians, priests, and relatives. It was a conspiracy by all of them. They were been tortured and killed for doing the noble work of educating and creating awareness among people to know their rights. After their death, those people wanted to destroy all the properties. Anthony was the person that time made them fail in their all attempts. Sheryl Varghese was the owner of many mountains, lands, and buildings. She always wanted to have one of the mountains with beautiful natural beauty and architect for the tourists, which will have your family name. Some of the mountains were having plantations of spices, coffee, and tea. Those are very precious. Sheryl was having a large coconut plantation in some of the mountains. All these mountains were taken on lease. From the byproducts of coconut she was making carpets and for that engaged poor and needy people of the society. She even arranged the training for them at her own cost. She had set up two factories for carpet manufacturing. Those carpets have huge demand abroad, particularly in western countries. Among them, Egypt is the best market for carpets. Anthony tried to fulfill the dream of Sheryl, but due to some obstructions by the authorities, who were been influenced by politicians and others, it was not possible. But to satisfy a little he had to build a hotel at the center place giving the name ‘’Mount Varghese’’. This hotel was the place for the tourists, businessmen, and foreigners, who used to come to that place. They visit the carpet factory and plantation sites and used to have business deals with Sheryl Varghese. There was a road from the side of this hotel to the palace, where the parents of Sheryl were living till their death and it was named HOME. This name was given by Sheryl’s parents as they really made it home by giving shelter to the poor and needy people. Even they had given shelter to some widows, who were been tortured by the priests. All of them were been provided with education, clothes, food, and everything by her parents. Some of them had come today and met you. That was the sweetest home for the homeless and helpless poor. Anthony was always with them to look after and help Sheryl’s parents. Unfortunately on the day of the brutal murder of Sheryl’s parents, Anthony was on a business trip to Egypt and the hooligans took that opportunity to finish them. Anthony was an expert in martial art and having a sword, which is a unique one. That sword was gifted by his Master to him having the mark MV02FK09. Sometimes Anthony used to say this sword is a holy sword and will always help to protect the truth and helpless people. Anthony used to keep that sword very carefully and worship it every day before starting his work. After the sudden death and brutal murder of Sheryl’s parents, Anthony returned from Egypt and immediately rushed to the place. He along with Sheryl and his family had completed the funerals with all rituals. Also, you were there at that time. You were very young. Then you were sent to the boarding school away from the family. Sheryl wanted to protect you and keep away from all the problems. Anthony and Sheryl tried their best to find and punish the culprits. Some they had identified too, but due to the influence of their enemies, they couldn’t be able to do so. Anthony was always fearless and very daring. He used to take care of all the business and properties in consultation with Sheryl. Sheryl was very busy in Cochin. She was taking care of the store, the export business. Also, she was busy with social activities. Along with that, she was taking care of her son and his family. Anthony too was very supportive. He used to spend maximum time in Sheryl’s parent's place. When both Sheryl and Anthony took all control and managing everything in the right way, then the number of dissidents increased. Some from the own relatives too were joined hands with them. All the properties were in Sheryl’s name. But God had a different plan. One day Sheryl received the message that Anthony was missing. She was in telephonic contact with Anthony on regular basis, but for a few days before she received the missing message his phone was unreachable. Sheryl was terribly upset. The fear of losing Anthony started rising in her mind. She was a strong lady and she wanted to visit the place. That time you were in your final examination of class 10th. She made her visit to the place along with me. She met several people. She talked to the caretaker Martha, but couldn’t get any information. Only one thing she came to know that on the night before the day of missing Anthony was having drinks with few people and after taking the dinner he went upstairs to sleep, next day morning Martha was the first person to find that Anthony was nowhere. Martha waited till evening and then gave a message to Sheryl. But Anthony’s sword was there. Then Sheryl and I lodged the F I R in the local police station regarding this. The inquiry went on and no clue was found. Still, now that case is pending. Sheryl was waiting for Anthony all the time till her death……………………’’

Now all had come and we have to complete ritual for funeral’’. Charu nodded her head and went to her room to get herself ready.

By the time they were all set for the funeral, Charu told her Vincent uncle,’’ I think we should take my grandmother to Ernakulam and bury her there near her parents.’’

Vincent and others were all silent. They could see Sheryl’s style in Charu. Sheryl used to make decisions like this. She used to listen to all but take unexpected decisions to surprise all. Vincent was feeling proud internally for Charu’s this action. All had agreed to Charu’s decision and decided to take Sheryl to Ernakulam. It took half an hour more to start the journey. Charu was sitting with the body of her loving dearest grandmother Sheryl Varghese. Besides her was only Vincent. The body was well sealed in a glass-covered coffin so that the body should not get damaged till they reach Ernakulam. While traveling, on the way in some places they stopped as people gathered there to pay their tribute to their iron lady Sheryl Varghese. They all were too happy to see Charu and assuring their love and gratitude. Charu had never expected this to happen, she was not aware of the power of her grandmother. She was feeling very proud of her and she was too feeling her absence. Vincent told her,’’ this is a part of their gratitude you are seeing. There are many more people obliged to Sheryl Varghese. I had sent the message to Ernakulam and by the time we reach there, everything will be ready. All the factory workers, farmers, and other staff are waiting to pay their tribute to their dearest respected Sheryl Varghese. You had taken a wonderful decision even in the worst situation. Your grandmother too was like this. Now she must be watching you from heaven and giving you her blessings.’’

Charu was listening to Vincent and kept her silence for a few moments. Then she asked looking at Vincent,’’ what happened after that….???

Vincent was moved and said,’’ oh…ok…let me tell you. I and Sheryl returned from Ernakulam. Sheryl took care of all business and handled all properties on her own then. That’s the reason she couldn’t give much time to you. But still, she was visiting you and always kept you on her priority list. At the time when Sheryl was busy in cochin and with some social activities, the local administration along with the pressure of politicians started making the plan to disowned Sheryl from her properties. Sheryl’s relatives filed a petition in a local court and they lost it. Then they again filed it in the higher court. The case continued for long three years. By the order of the court, the hotel Mount Varghese and the HOME was to be divided among Sheryl and her relatives as these two were on common land. Rest all lands, leased mountains and the old building with other properties stayed with Sheryl. Then all the dissidents together decided to sell the hotel to one of the powerful politicians cum businessman, and take the share by dividing the amount equally as per the court’s order. It was sold. That hotel is now called‘’ CITY MALL’’. The HOME also wanted to sell, but no one was interested to purchase it. Sheryl decided to keep it with her. She talked to all dissidents and paid them the money against their share and got it registered in her name. Then she decided to make that a museum, where all the things of her parents, pictures of their activities, Anthony’s and her all old and important things, pictures, all these can be kept. It will be in memory of her family. She too never forgets to keep the pictures, toys, dress, etc of her and her father were kept in that museum. That museum was kept open for all the tourists. Martha was appointed as the caretaker. Though that is a museum now, still that belong to you.’’

Charu looked into the eyes of Vincent and asked,’’ have you told them to come to the museum first, where we will keep grand mother’s body for all to see for the last time?’’

Vincent replied ,’’no, I was not been informed by you ,but let me send the message and that will be arranged. Don’t be worried ,everything will be done as you decide respected princess .’’

Charu replied ,’’ it’s ok , thanks for this.’’

Around 2 o’ clock they reached the compound of the museum. Charu could see thousands of men and women with garlands and flowers were waiting for her grand mother. She was overwhelmed with their all respect. Then the body was taken out and kept in center of the garden for the people to come and pay their tribute . Charu was sitting near Sheryl’s head with a folded hand. All came and paid their respect . Even some of the dissidents came and Vincent was updating about them to Charu. They all were trying to console her. No one was able to see her face as it was covered with a scroll. Charu’s eyes were watching every one….Her eyes trying to keep all their picture stored ,who tried to finish her family….But still she was feeling proud that even the enemies could come as her grand mother’s image was much better in public than all of them. She was feeling proud to born in this family. By the evening around 5 o’clock this ceremony was finished. Then they started the procession and took the body to graveyard. Charu put the flower on the feet of Sheryl, her grand mother and washed it with her tears. She for the first time felt her heart is broken. Now she finally realized that she could not see her grand mother physically any more. She silently promised her to take her responsibilities to restore everything…….she promised to complete all the works, which are started by Sheryl Varghese…….she promised to her grand mother that she will never let her down…..she promised Sheryl Varghese that she will take her place and let all the people know that Sheryl Varghese is not dead……….

Charu spend some time with her grand mother . Then she paid her tribute to Sheryl’s parents and pray them to bless her. Then at about 8 o’clock they returned to their old house. That was very big . Charu was feeling little tired and told Vincent that she want to take some rest and gone to the room where Sheryl Varghese used to sleep. That room was the exclusively private room of Sheryl Varghese. It was having every modern facilities and been well decorated. The bed too was a king size bed. Charu relaxed on bed and tried to sleep. There were more works to do and tomorrow she will visit the museum. She planned it. She will start her journey of ownership from there……

Charu closed her eyes and started to sleep. She could visualize some past memories. She could see see her childhood days….she could see the styles of Sheryl Varghese while talking to people……she could visualize high headedness of Sheryl and as well as her love and affections……..she could remember Sheryl talking to her something last year about the mountains………about the farmings……about the export business………about the factories………about the stores……about the social services……….about the institutions Sheryl established for poor people for their education, training and health…………..Sheryl had always told her how to manage everything??? She was told to give love, care and respect , so that in return always the God will bless with everything to achieve what she want. Sheryl was always very concern about the image of the family. Several times Sheryl had told her that the best job in this world is to win the hearts of other people. Sheryl used to say money and power will never help to win many people’s heart. Along with that she has to have a soft heart to understand the feelings of others……….

Charu remembered her last meeting in U S ,when she kept her head on Sheryl’s lap and asked her many questions. Sheryl keeping her hand on her forehead told her,’’ yes my darling you are in the right direction. Ask and clear your all doubts. You have to go a long way in your life…..you will face many hurdles while doing your job……never give up the hopes …….never ever have the fear of loosing anything……never ever feel that you are alone……..never ever compromise with family matters……never ever allow the enemies to enter your life………..let your enemies feel that you are strong enough to fight back……..let your own people love you, respect you and follow you……let the world know that you belong to Varghese family………let the world know that you are me………let them all feel that you are the princess…..your are me and you are Sheryl Varghese………’’

Charu was so tired that she had gone in to deep sleep. While sleeping she was having all the thoughts about her grand mother and family. She started feeling the presence of some people…..She was thinking about her being the spitting image of Sheryl Varghese…..Suddenly could feel as if some body having their presence there and telling her very slowly ‘’we love you dear……we are happy to see you here……you are our princess…..you are the best………you are a winner…..’’

Suddenly the sound was increasing and she could heard ‘’welcome Sheryl Varghese……welcome dear…..’’

That had disturbed her and she woke up. She opened her eyes and could find no body there……….Then she switched on the light ……it was about 5o’clock morning. Slowly she had gone to the mirror and tried to see her image in that…….Then she was surprised to see her image , it’s really the spitted image of her grand mother Sheryl Varghese…..She was never very serious about her appearance and never thought about what it mean to others. She stood their for some times . She felt as if some shadows are their at the corner of the door and are watching her……..she wondered , what is happening to her…………????? She controlled her emotions , her feelings and decided to ask Vincent uncle about all these and she would like to have more detail information regarding business and properties from him. She has to wait for the morning . Again she went to her bed. She was just thinking about the points to be discussed with Vincent uncle. She noted down all in her memory book. Then she looked at the watch , it was 7 o’clock morning. She went to the wash room and freshen up their. She got ready to go and meet Vincent. A lots of things has to be done…….The last night happening with her ………The voice……..The shadows……..all these had increased her curiosity and anxiety .

By 9o’clock Charu got ready and went down stair and was trying to spot any staff to ask for Vincent uncle. Then one of the staff appeared and Charu asked about Vincent, she answered that today early morning she saw him going towards the museum………

Then Charu told the staff that she want to meet him and want to go to museum. Then she proceed towards the museum. While reaching there she saw it was locked from outside. Nobody was there. Then the gardener came to her and asked if she need anything? Charu asked ,where do the caretaker live? The gardener took her to the caretaker Martha’s house, which was just nearby. That was too Sheryl’s property. As soon as she reached Martha’s house, she asked the gardener to leave. Then she entered the gate and could see nobody and after a few while a young man came and wished her, she was still having the scroll rapped on her face. The young man told her that he is Ruth , son of the caretaker Martha. Then Charu asked him ,’’has he seen Vincent uncle? Then Ruth replied that Vincent uncle had left today morning for Egypt. It has surprised Charu. She told Ruth ,how come this happen ? he had never told her about going to Egypt…..Charu was restless and expressing her urgency of meeting Vincent uncle. By seeing this urgency Ruth was also surprised. Ruth started thinking about what can be the matter? Why is she so much in need of Vincent? Then Charu looked at Ruth and asked ,’’if he can give her his contact details !.....mean all including the Egypt’s too!......At that point of time Ruth started sensing something serious. Then he asked Charu to have her seat and gone inside to call his mother Martha.

By that time it was 11o’clock morning. Charu felt bit hot and started sweating on her forehead and chin. She started wiping the sweat with the scroll, which had covered her face. Now her face is uncovered . It is clear and open. At the same time Martha entered and wished her…….but looking at her she started fainting , saying Sheryl……………..Sheryl………and again she came to sense. Now Charu immediately could not make out ,what went wrong with Martha? But when she saw Ruth was too in deep sock and surprise while looking at her, then she realized that her face is open now and as she is spitting image of her grand mother Sheryl , all of them are surprised to see that…..Then Charu again went near Martha and as she saw Charu , again she fainted saying Sheryl…….how come……….

Then Charu told Ruth to take Martha inside and let her have the rest. Also she asked Ruth to give her all the contact details of Vincent including Egypt . Charu gave her contact no to Ruth and told him to give it to Martha. She will be in touch with Martha from time to time hereafter. Charu wish Ruth a good bye and told she will be waiting for him to have the contact details at home.

While returning Charu was thinking about the incident of last night…The shadows……their words……..She was wondering as if all these had happened like a black magic or was a nightmare…….how come the shadows can speak……..how come the shadows be alive!!!!!!If that’s the truth then whose shadows were that!!!!! Why they didn’t came to her to face her!!!!!!Shadow is alive!!!!!!It’s something funny, suspicious, curious and there must be something in it. Also why Martha was fainting after seeing her???? Does she know something about her grand mother Sheryl Varghese? Or she saw her being the spitted image of Sheryl and fainted!!!!

At about 5o’clock evening Charu was sitting in the living room and was informed that Ruth and Martha had come to meet her. Charu asked the staff to send them to the living room. Then the maid left and brought both of them to Charu. They wished her. Charu asked them to have their seat. Ruth handed over a paper having all contact details of Vincent to Charu. Then Martha with a fainted voice told she is sorry for the morning.

Now Charu had a smile and told her , it’s ok, no problem. What happened to you? Now Martha looked here and there and with a fearsome eyes started telling Charu………..’’I am socked as well as happy to see you. You look exactly like our dearest Sheryl Varghese. Now I started feeling that you too behave like her.I am confident that we got back our Sheryl. Let me just brief you that Sheryl Varghese has appointed me as a caretaker for the museum and this house. She had entrusted me with some more work too. I used to give her all reports , but since last few days I could not give any report as I was sick and been threatened………..When I saw you felt that as if Sheryl Varghese came to ask the explanations to me, though she is resting in the grave . But suddenly seeing her in you made me surprised…….unbeleiveable and with fear I fainted……I am sorry for that . Now onwards I will report you on regular basis…….please pardon me……..’’

Charu could now started getting some clue………..She could sense something fishy about this whole happening her family. She told Martha to calm down. Also warned her to be faithful to her and do the duties properly. Then Martha and Ruth said good bye to Charu and left.

Now Charu closed her eyes and started thinking of her plans……..She will organise all………She was making her memory to keep it all noted……….She was thinking about the shadows…………..She was thinking Shadow Is Alive………..for making her to reach Martha and Ruth. Then she had a smile on her face…..It was the smile of the winner or starting of a new beginning or getting in to investigation of all old cases………All were only known to Charu……Shadow Is Alive……

Now Charu had chaled out her plans and decided to work on that. She has to handle the thing as her grand mother Sheryl was handling or even better than that. Sheryl always wanted Charu to take care of all and she was very proud of her. It was around 8o’clock and Charu made a call to Martha. She wanted to start her work from tomorrow and it must be from the museum. So she must take Martha in to confidence and ask her to do all necessary arrangements for the meeting. Charu informed Martha to have a meeting with all heads of factories, mountains, farming business and exports in the office of museum at about 11AM tomorrow.Before that Charu will be in museum at about 9 AM tomorrow. Charu told to inform all to come as it will be her first and very important meeting with them. Then Charu send a message to Vincent to talk to her. She had not made any call to Vincent uncle.

Charu had gone to bed at about 9 PM in the night as tomorrow she has to start her day from early morning. While sleeping she was thinking of Sheryl and her way of handling the things. She had not seen her earlier her professional approach, but knew bit of her styles for which Charu was always feeling proud to belong to her. While sleeping she was giving thanks to Sheryl, her parents and the God. With a light smile she closed her eyes and slept. Her face with that smile was giving the reflection of confidence and determination. At about 5 AM morning she had woken up with a smoothing whisper ‘’wake up my dear….wake up Sheryl…..we love you dear……go ahead with your plans……you are the Shadow of Sheryl Varghese……her world is waiting for you…….’’

She woke up and looked around , but nobody was there. She thought for a moment why this is happening to her? It may be that all her family members are watching her from heaven ……..or may be her attachment with Sheryl is reflecting in her thoughts……or may be she is getting all of their blessings and unseen strengths…….Now she saw the time ,it was already 6 AM morning. She left the bed and thought of getting ready. By 7.30 AM she was getting ready and thought of her dress to wear. As this is going to be her first professional meeting, she gave the professional touch to her dress and saw in the mirror. With a smile of confidence told to herself…perfect………Then she was searching from her bag a note book to carry for the meeting and suddenly could see an Executive Diary on nearby shelf. She reached there and picked that, it was empty and looks like a fresh one, as if somebody kept it for her……She looked at the beautiful painting on the wall of Sheryl , her parents and little Charu….Taking the diary in hand she went to the painting and looked at them , and prayed them to bless her for her new beginning…….

Charu finished her breakfast and left for the museum. She reached museum exactly at 9AM. Martha was standing there with bunch of flowers to welcome her. She wished Charu and took her inside. Charu get in to the office to check if everything is been arranged well or not. She asked Martha looking at the head table , which was having only one chair and told Martha to add one more chair to that. Martha told yes I will do that, but she was wondering who will be the second person to head this meeting!!!! Then Martha understood that she is with the young Sheryl Varghese……… Charu….. the shadow of Sheryl Varghese. By that time Charu had left for going through the museum. She was checking all and wanted to see everything to be in right place. She came across the book section and found some interesting books. One book she opened and gone through that for some time and was getting serious thoughts in her mind. Then she kept it there and proceed further. She reached near the sword of Anthony and stopped for some time to watch it minutely. Then she made complete round of the museum. While turning she could see Martha was in her back walking with a distance of 2 feets from her along with her, Charu looked at her watch ,it was 10.45 AM and asked Martha ‘’has every one come? Martha replied ‘’almost and some are yet to come.’’ Charu asked Martha to take the attendance of the persons coming today and make the list of their corresponding address with complete contact details.’’ Martha left for the meeting room to complete this task.

At exactly 11AM charu entered the meeting room and saw all present there stood up and greeted her. Charu took her sit and asked all to take their seat. Charu looked at Martha ,who was just about to complete her task just few minutes back given by Charu. Then Martha came to her and kept the pad having all addresses with contact details,She waited for the next instruction from Charu. Charu had a glance to the details and asked Martha to be there in this room and Martha took her seat at the corner place. Now Charu looked at all and asked Martha to close the door as the meeting will start.

Charu started the meeting with her adderess………………………….

‘’Good morning ladies and gentlemen. I am Charu ,the grand daughter of late Sheryl Varghese. Thanks to you all for being with my grand mother always and now being here. We had lost our dearest Sheryl Varghese physically, but she is very much here in this room and with all of us…………She is with me and will be with me. Let us not stop where we were……let us continue our work…….As she is with us ,she will love to see we all perform…………That will be the best tribute to her…………She always believed in work and performance and I too…….. Let me not take more time and request you all to give your brief introductions…..’’

The Charu took the note pad given by Martha with all address and contact details and opened it. All present there gave their brief introduction with job profile and Charu noted those in that pad. After this was over again Charu started……………….

‘’ Thank you all for your co-operations. Please note down my contact details. She gave her contact details. Then she continued saying, now onwards please do send your reports through the email I just gave you. I mean to say the reports till date you were sending or giving to Sheryl Varghese. Let me tell you clearly that we all should be honest and trust worthy ,then we can do better for ourselves and society. As you know for me my family name is on top priority, as it was. I expect everyone of you should be very frank with me . Now I don’t want to take your more time. You can go back to your work and in case of any problem do contact me , we will solve it together. Only the auditor may please be here and others can take a leave. My best wishes are with you and the blessings of Sheryl Varghese. Thank you all again for a patient hearing.’’

All started to leave except the auditor and paying their respect to Charu.

Charu sat with the auditor and given some task to complete. She asked the auditor to meet her by tomorrow evening after completing the job and she can be contacted if anything will be required. Her meeting with the auditor was one to one. Then the auditor left wishing her. Charu sat there and concentrating on her next course of action. She kept a note of the points discussed with the auditor.

Outside when all were leaving were talking……She is Sheryl Varghese……She is unpredictable………She is incredible………She is strong………She is bold and confident…….She is a tough task master exactly like Sheryl……..She is soft and strict…………We had not lost Sheryl………..She is the one……….Shadow Is Alive………………………..
