School Days

My school is not just a building where I go to study; it is the place I learnt about what is life is. Every single day I spent there was amazing. Whatever I am today is only because of my experiences in my school but I was not so when I was enrolled in it.

My first achievement was in Kindergarten when I won first prize in colouring competition organized by Aditya Birla Group. Then there was no looking back. Though I had many achievements after that but the one I can call my biggest achievement was when I was selected for anchoring annual day.

I was constantly bullied in my childhood which had a great impact on my life. I was introvert and depressed. I used to have anxiety attacks. But I only had co-curricular activities as my escape from the hard truth. So, once I participated in a declamation competition in which I ruined everything because of my mental health but later my English teacher called me to ask if was interested to do anchoring on annual day. The reason was my voice, it touched her.

She encouraged me to accept it and said, “I believe in you, you can do it.”

It was my greatest achievement in my school life because after that day, life took a turn. The teacher polished me as an individual and my fellows (who were supposed to co-anchor with me) encouraged me that was capable of doing more than what I believed.

Her words still echo in ears which motivate me to tackle the problems in my life. That day, I didn’t make an academic or artistic achievement but I made the biggest achievement that I could ever make; I achieved life.

After an eternity, I laughed, had fun and made friends. The teacher not just used to help me in my pronunciations but also helped me to eradicate the fear of public speaking. I made friends which instead of bullying me and cracking mean jokes about me but gave me complements and laughs.

After a month of preparation, the day came. I performed incredible on stage. My parents and so called classmates were stunned to see that side of me. After that day, I won many declamation competitions, essay writing competitions, etc at district and state level. I used to dream but after that day, I started working for them, instead of getting depressed from others’ comments, I stopped giving any heed to them.

Life is so unexpected. Sometimes small things value so much and so do small problems but even a single achievement can eliminate all the problems in the life. Life is all about achieving but there is a moment which makes life take a turn, resulting in working and dreaming instead of mere dreaming. That particular moment is when the biggest achievement is accomplished.

Sometimes, failures are also necessity to multiply the joy of achieving something and value it.
