The downpour refused to show mercy on Mysore city. Tamina blamed herself for choosing the wrong time for the trip. Drenched dogs barked in anger the moment the headlights of the car bathed the slushy road beside them. The silhouette of the barking dogs disappeared as they ran and hid beside the giant tree. As the car swerved to the left, it bumped onto the nasty pothole rendering the tyres punctured. It let out a painful noise in agony.

"Oh, my word! This is insane, " Rahul fumed. "Do you have a backup spare?"

"No... sir, " the driver hesitated to speak.

Suddenly, he received a punch to the nape of his neck.

"Why do you hire irresponsible drivers, dad?" Rahul said.

"Please forgive me, " the driver said.

"You will be fired."

"Please, sir. If I lose this job then my family will be thrown to the street."

"You deserve that punishment."

"Make a call to a mechanic immediately, " Ranjan ordered.

The driver tried to call someone but to no avail courtesy of network issues.

"Crawl out and see if there is any garage nearby, " Rahul said.

The driver quickly slipped out of the car to search for a solution to their problem. He desperately wanted to buy some time to escape from Rahul's constant nagging.

Despite the air inside the car being warm owing to the voices going back and forth, Prerana looked unfazed. She had immersed herself into the mirror that stood against her. Even a smile had festooned her face.

Rahul glanced at his sister for a while.

"Even if the house in which she resides collapses, I believe my sister would use debris as her cosmetic products," Rahul said.

"I don't think there is any external object apart from her makeup products which would make her respond to the outside world, " Tamina guessed.

"I truly believe there is someone on this planet who is capable of penetrating love through her body which would urge her to respond, " Ranjan said.

"Her would-be husband, " Tamina said.

"The unlucky soul would spend his entire life consuming her aesthetic products, " Rahul chuckled.

Finally, Prerana responded by nudging her brother, " Stop, Rahul."

The driver scanned the entire area amidst pouring rain. He happened to across Roshan's garage that remained open despite the downpour. He was happy and at the same time wondered as to why the garage remained open. Without wasting a minute, he scurried towards the garage to seek help. Roshan believed he would be devoid of customers today thanks to heavy rain but was surprised to see the customer stepping in.

"How may I help you?" he asked.

"My unlucky fate punctured the tyre of the car, " the driver said. "I tried reaching out to other mechanics but to no avail. Can you please help me get out of this mess?" he requested.

"Don't worry! I will come to the rescue of your car."

"Not my car, my owner's car."

"Will certainly help you. I had no intention to keep my garage opened but my gut feeling said I could be of help to someone."

"Thank you very much! Please come."

Roshan followed the car driver and both capped their heads with umbrellas. But, still, the mighty rain somehow found a way to drench them.

"Oh, my God! Where do we stay today if we don't get anyone's help?" Tamina was perturbed.

"This looks like a deserted area. I don't think we will find any place to stay here." Ranjan was apprehensive.

"I believe the mighty rain will work in cahoots with nature to enhance my beauty, " Prerana said.

"I believe the warrior rain connives with nature to paint you ugly, " Rahul joked.

"Why do you guys look so serious? After a long time, we are stuck in the middle of nowhere. Why can't we celebrate"

Rahul sank his head over his hands.

The driver and Roshan were a few yards away from the stranded car. As they took a step towards a huge tree, a flash of perilous lightning penetrated through a tree exploding it in the process.
