Resilience
Saavi was scrolling down the Facebook pages when a random post caught her attention. It came from a group "psychic readings for free".
It was just the kind of distraction she needed on that harsh day.
Quickly she 'liked' and started following the group. A kind face, with her eyes heavily lined with kohl, emerged before her. Tossing behind her gleaming, tightly plaited, strands of hair, she declared that a live session was on. Saavi waited and watched it. The 'live' session proceedings. Questions poured on the screen as the kind woman deftly flipped her cards.
Saavi typed in what was bothering her. "Will I succeed as a writer?"
It was late into the night. Waiting for her turn to be answered was getting exhaustive. The people on Facebook connected to different time zones; she decided to call it a day. Besides, it was a dillydally. Nothing lost if nothing gained either.
Curious to know if she has been answered, Saavi logged into it, the first thing in the morning.
The Psychic had answered. It read ' I get a NO, but I see a lot of passion there.'
Saavi was broken. It had said NO.
All her love for writing would take her nowhere? Her morning chores were then just dragged on in a depressive state. An hour later, she checked into the WhatsApp message pinged in by her sister. It was unusual, and it matched her inner state. 'Trust in yourself is the first requirement for success.'
Soon after more unbelievable coincidences took place.
On her work table, she overhead 'If you do something, do it with passion; or not at all'.
Saavi needed no further indications. She was now confident that a higher power, a guardian angel was watching over her; it is trying to say " Keep on writing with the same passion as you do; you write with passion. You will not be let down."
