Remember Our Love

Jessie returned to her house to hear her parents shouting at each other. Sighing Jessie went straight to her room shutting and locking her door. Jessie just got her examination reports, and she didn’t score well in her examinations. Gaining her confidence, she went straight to her parents; they were watching television. “I got my examination reports,” said Jessie “I see, give it to me,” said her father. She handed her reports to her father. After seeing her reports, they were glaring at her. “B+?! Are you dumb or what?! Why can’t you score well? You are such a problematic child?!” said her father. “You are such a disgrace to our family. I wish I never had you. Why can’t you be like your sister Lia? She is a well-mannered, Intelligent child. And look at you, huh!” said her mother. “I am sorry.” that’s all Jessie could say. Lowering her head, she went straight to her room. She closed her door and sat down on the bed sobbing hard. “Why can’t they accept the way I am”? “I wish I could die now”. That is all that she thought and slowly drifted to sleep. The neIvant morning, she woke up with red and swollen eyes. She took a deep breath and smiled as if nothing happened. She went to her school without eating something. She went and saw her best friend, Ivan. “Hey Jessie! You seem down today,” said Ivan. “Nothing much, I am just tired,” said Jessie with a little forced smile. “Are you sure? Like if you are tired you can go home?” Ivan said with an ensuring face. “There is no problem, Ivan, let’s go we are late”. Said Jessie with the same face. 

Jessie was walking down the street when she saw her boyfriend James walking with her sister Lia hand in hand. She walked to them. “James? What are you doing with my sister? And Lia what are you doing here? With him?” asked Jessie with a questionable face. “What? I am waking up with my girlfriend.” Said, James. “GIRLFRIEND?! B-but you are my boyfriend, right?” said Jessie “I WAS. Not now… Who would be the boyfriend of a dumb girl.” Said James with a scoffing face. “How dare you? You cheated on me James with my sister… And Lia? How could you do this to me?” said Jessie “As I care, also he is mine now. Let’s go, James,” said Lia walking away and leaving Jessie broken and all alone. Jessie became numb and just walked to her house. The next morning, Ivan saw Jessie numb and cold. "Jess, what happened? Why are you like this? Did anything happen? Did James say something to you?” said, Ivan. Finally, Jessie broke down and told him how James broke up with her. He tried to console her and slowly she forgot about him. 

But this happiness didn’t last for long. One day when Jessie was studying for her examinations, she was having seizures and acute headaches, so she decided to go for a checkup. Jessie was sitting on the seat in front of the doctor. The doctor sharply sighed and said “Umm… You have a brain tumor” Jessie was shocked and asked, “It can be cured right?”. “At this stage, it can’t be. In the early stages, it can be.” Said the doctor. “So, I am going to die?” Said Jessie with a broken voice. “Maybe and maybe not, Miss Jessie we will try our best to save you. Don’t be sad and have faith in yourself.” said the doctor. “I-I will try. Thank you, doctor,” said Jessie with a forced smile.

At this moment, Jessie didn’t know what to do. She wanted to tell Ivan so badly but again she didn’t want to hurt him. So, she calls Ivan and tells him that she wants to spend some time with him because she knew that she could die at any time. Jessie used to stick with Ivan so much. Ivan knew that something is wrong with Jessie. He tried to ask her, but she would just ignore his questions. One day, Jessie was sick and stayed at his house. He brought some flowers on the way back home. But his joy didn’t last for long. What he saw made him utterly shocked. He saw Jessie lying on the mat lifeless. 

Jessie woke up in the hospital, she saw Ivan crying. “Ivan” She called him. “Jessie! Why didn’t you tell me,” Said Ivan crying. “Tell you what? That I am going to die? ha! I am not that heartless’’ said Jessie. “You are crazy,” said Ivan. “Ivan… Thank you so much. You were always there for me to support me. Is it life or A mess? Also, before dying, I want to say I love you” said Jessie with a tired smile. He hugged her and said, “I love you too” and this was the last time she heard him and died. After 20 minutes, Lia, James and her parents came. “S-she died?” said Lia.

 “You took the life of your own loved one,” said Ivan crying his heart out…

Now, it has been 2 years since Jessie died. He sighed remembering all their memories and decided to move out. He packed his bags and decided at 6 o'clock he would go. He decided to take a last little tour in Seoul. He was walking and stood on the roadside. When he saw a girl running. He was confused for a second as he thought that she resembled Jessie. Ivan shrugged the thoughts off. And the same day he took his flight and went to Canada. 

On his first day, he walked into his office and all the people greeted him. He then saw the same girl as before working on her PC. He asked her name. "Good morning, sir, my name is Stephanie," said the girl. He was shocked because this was the name Jessie wanted to name her daughter if she had any. Confused, Ivan then hummed and went inside his office.

The next day, Ivan asked Stephanie to prepare a presentation on the new product they had been working on. " Miss Stephanie, I would like you to prepare the presentation on the products we have made till now," said Ivan "sure sir. Is there any specific date?" Asked Stephanie. " Next week," said Ivan " Okay sir. Thank you for choosing me," said Stephanie. The next week Stephanie presented the projects amazingly. Ivan was surprised at how confidently Stephanie spoke just like Jessie. Ivan praised Stephanie and made her his personal secretary.

Day by day Stephanie and Ivan's relationship started to grow more than a boss and an employee. They started hanging out more often. " Sir, can we meet at Lion bridge?" Asked Stephanie " Didn't I say to not call me sir?" said Ivan with a cute angry face. "I am sorry Ivan sir..." Stephanie said with a teasing face. " Whatever miss Stephanie met me today at 6 o'clock on the Lion bridge," said Ivan" Okay sir," said Stephanie 

Now he was standing in front of a bridge waiting for Stephanie and it suddenly started snowing. He was amazed by the beauty of the snow. He then remembered Jessie once said " I love snow, whenever you will remember me, it will snow and if you will remember this message then I will come to you" remembering this he sighed. Suddenly he heard a voice screaming " I came, love". He heard Stephanie's voice. He turned around and saw Stephanie standing but Ivan knew it was not Stephanie because she calls him Sir or Mr. Jeon. She ran to him and said, "I came for you, love." 

"I CAME" she screamed happily

And crying Ivan hugged her.

Ivan and Stephanie were cuddling. When Ivan asked, " how did you remember me now Jessie" "It's the power of love" said Stephanie...

Stephanie is not Jessie. She loved Ivan for a long time, so she wanted to know his past and after some research, she got to know about a girl named Jessie. How they were friends. How much he liked her. But Jessie had a brain tumor and died. And soon he started to get depressed, started to get depressed and decided to leave the country.
