Being healthy means both physically and mentally. If a person is physically fit but cannot do things without any distraction and being attentive is not healthy. In the same manner a person who can do all smart works sitting idle in front of computers, laptops and smart phones are also not meant to be healthy. For both the cases I can spot you with some examples. A person who is physically fit but cannot do any work without any distraction or being attentive is not healthy. In the same manner a person who do all smart works in mobile phones, laptops and computers sitting idle for a long time lacks sleep and less physical activity leads to a bad lifestyle which is also not healthy.

Youngsters or teens have both pros and consequences on the usage of social media platforms. The positive side relies on how they connect with their near and dear in pandemic situation when feeling alone. The worst part is that they will start to compare themselves with their peers. It leads to lower self esteem and poor mental health. Over usage of social media gets more addictive on seeing their posts on Facebook/Instagram frequently and how people respond to their posts. They started feeling depressed when there get a very few positive comments and likes. It will make them restless which leads to inadequate sleep, improper eating habits, less physical activities, sitting for a prolonged time in social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Snapchat. While some teens find it more useful to connect themselves while social distancing which makes them feel that they are not alone. They feel like the world is watching them to feel connected.

Unwanted tagging in photos, photos without filters may cause depression, anxiety, mental and phycological disorders. Teens maintaining good relationships in real life reports less mental disorders while compared to those who are always in online. On the other hand, teens find it more useful in the way they can view the profiles on LinkedIn for their career development. Hence usage of social media does not affect the mental health but over usage leads to the way of more mental disorders and suicidal thoughts. So teens use social media platforms for an hour a day to maintain balanced and healthy lifestyle. This may month is for mental awareness. Depression, anxiety, mental disorders, restlessness may happen with over usage of social media.

On the other hand it can be useful for a person to know who they are and they can feel relief in expressing their own views, opinions and thoughts in the social media platform. Body shaming, cyber bullying and posting irrelevant and harmful contents in social media and sharing their own posts of hurting themselves and doing excessive work outs and exercises to reduce fat very soon are some bad examples. Mediation, yoga and meeting your real time friends rather than online friends will make you feel fit and better. Sometimes some disconnections are good and blessed. Have your private time in doing things which are favorite of yours to make yourself feeling refreshed.
