Mahesh and his friend are discussing something people fear. No, not a school but something else. Something worse. The ghost of the palace. What is it? Let me tell you. It is rumored that the palace belonged to Raja Bahadur Zafar Khan in the early 1600s. The king mourned the death of this wife, someone who killed her. The Raja then ordered his servants to bury him alive as a token of love for his wife. The people to date fear that the ghost of Raja still roams in the palace, killing people visiting the palace. “What nonsense! There is nothing like ghosts! They are rumors!” says Mahesh’s friend Dev. One day so, after the discussion, neighbors found a dead body lay near the gates of the palace. The people got scared and called CIB. Neil studied the body and sent Kamya and Ali to the palace. “The body was surely tortured before staging a sword inside the stomach. People shouted saying it was done by Raja’s ghost. Obviously, Neil and the inspectors didn’t believe them. Instead, they decided to stay for a night at the palace to investigate the ‘ghost’. The first two hours went on calmly. They then fell asleep. They woke up after listening to a loud bang of hearing plated fall with a loud crash. Neil woke up Ali and Kamya, and what they saw horrified them. They saw a Raja and a richly dressed lady with a crown on her head throwing plated at the floor. The queen shrieks were like those of a witch. The King and Queen slowly disappeared into thin air and the windows turned blood-red. The curtains started to fly as if they were in a rage, the chants stating, “You killed my rani, didn’t you?” filled the air. Suddenly someone staged Neil’s hand with a knife and he fell on the ground with a thud.

*Clue: Who did such a horrible thing?

Slowly, Neil opened his eyes to see all in a horrified and a bit worried expression. “What happened to us? We should have been at the palace! Who were the king-looking and Queen-looking people? Why did we come here? Neil stammered somehow. He was surely horrified of the ‘drishya’ he had seen. We got to investigate, don’t you think?

They decided to meet the owner of the palace, Mr. Ramlal Krishna Govind. “I bought this palace from Mrs.Rukzar Khan, the descender of Raja. She was in debt but looked sad and angry while selling the palace to me. She showed me the palace and I loved it a lot. But when I got to know about the raja’s ghost and had a small but alarming meet with him at night, I stopped coming to the palace. When I went to her house to resell the palace, she had already fled away.” Hmm…….

CIB then called ACP of every city in India and gave them her picture of Rukzar, drawn by Ramlal, to find her in every corner of the country. After all, she was the main suspect behind the murder of 19 people went till, of which 18 people’s body was found in the Rani’s room.

“The lady looking exactly like Rukzar is found at Cherapunji’s resort ‘Peaceroad’. Soon, she was bought at Mumbai and as of course, by 15-20 good-old slaps and a gun targeting her head, she muttered everything. “ I loved the palace as it was my family pride. I fell into a debt for which I needed 30 crores. I had no option but to sell the castle. But, I also wanted to have the money and the castle too. So, I made up this story. I used to go out at night and keep the prints of the tory of Raja beside the person. To make it a truth, anyone who came to the palace, I first showed his a homographic image of my jijaji and didi fighting in a play. Then I used to stag them with sword and keep them in the room, to not disclose my truth. I got scared when you 3 came together so I tried to stag on Senior Inspector heart but I missed and ended up on the stomach. If it weren’t you, I would have got the palace back.” As you guys think, she was hanged a month after. Case dismiss……
