My Country

At the stroke of midnight hour, when the world sleeps, India will awake to life and freedom. Are we true to this yet?

A weeping nation-

A moment comes in history of the world, when we step out of the old world towards the new beginning, when age ends and when the soul of the nation is no more suppressed finds a voice of its own. It is that moment when we take the pledge of dedication to the service of the nation and help her seek to the betterment of the entire humanity.

At the dawn of history, India started her unending thirst and eons of centuries are filled with her struggle and the grandeur of the success and failure. Through all the ill and misfortune India never lost it's sight of the quest which gave her strength. We end our ill fortune and strive for becoming a better India.

We are brave enough to grasp the opportunity and take it as a challenge and progress in all sphere of lives.

The past was glorious, the future is bright but it's the present that has to be made tolerant for the future to be as bright as the shining sun. We the people of India take pledge today to make our surroundings and society a socially democratic republic not just on papers but within our hearts too.

After 75 years of independence, our suffering has subsided. Peace has different meaning to it. Freedom is all we have , so is prosperity and so as the disaster. We have to work hard to make our dream a reality. But have we achieved that?

Yes to an extent.

India, land of golden peacock, a land of the education, a fertile soil, we have made her a superpower. The land gave us zero, the land gave us world winners, the land of multi-culture is weeping with all the hollow promises. 

It's a fateful moment for us, a new star rises, the future beckons us. Where do we go and what shall we endeavour? Bring freedom and opportunity to the peasants and common man, to fight end poverty and disease of corruption, to build a prosperous and progressive nation and to create a hatefree society. India is dreaming it, we the people of India have achieved so much, still our belief is age old. We have reached the stars, the outsiders now don't call us the snake charmers still we fight over religion, fight over cast. 

India needs us. Let's make our society a respectable one, where we treat women with utmost respect, where we treat lower caste with same love, where we respect other religion with same respect. We are the people and we are India.
