Dear childhood me,

I hope you are doing good. It's been long since we saw each other.

You know I have always admired you, your success, your failure, your way of living life, your use of words, your conscious efforts to look good and your motivation to succeed in all forms of life.

In life, I have experienced one thing, no matter how hard or bad your early life is, you always turn out to be the winner. Everyday I see people, running after things which they don't really need and ends up in loosing themselves. I miss the younger self, the childhood days. Now am more into savings and investments, just and remembering how simple life was.

Nothing to worry about, home was your world and mom dad were the only people in your life. Now I have to be sympathetic and empathetic and make sure what i speak and how I make it others feel. Most importantly, i used to run away from sleep. I'm so sleep deprived now, and wish to make it up somehow. I want to make peace with it, that as you grow sleep is the last thing on your mind.

I, the actual me wants to be like you. My inner cell wants each and every part of it. I want to thank you, for the efforts which you have put into me while I was going down. You were the light of my darkness which I forgot even exist. Never understood your definition of love. When it all became clear, I grew up. The little me inside craves for the love from my outer self.

In the end I will only say, thank you for being there always. Thank you for being my shadow. Thank you for being my happy me.

Yours truly and only
