Life can be difficult and frustrating. If one does not have the means and money to fulfill one's desires and dreams. Jitu understood this theory after getting a raw deal in life. When he was a growing kid, he was innocent and was for many years devoid of desires. He belonged to a lower middle-class family and his father was without work for most part of the year. But he could fathom that money was an important part of their lives.

Jitu could hear discussions between his parents about having and not having money. Sometimes the discussion took an ugly turn and then he heard his parents quarrel mindlessly for several minutes. Leading to the topic of divorce and separation. The term divorce was unknown to Jitu. But when he overheard his mother saying that his father did not have the means to give alimony, more questions raised in his mind. Then after mindless utterance there would be a deathly silence and they would stop talking among themselves for many days. In this situation Jitu's elder sister Ratna didi would be the medium of conveyance of instruction to and fro.

The first knowledge of not having enough money dawned on Jitu when he was thrown out of his school as his one year's tuition fees was not paid by his parents. His mother used to fight with his father for money to pay Jitu's shool fees. But as his father had little or no income he could not provide the money for the fees. Earlier his sister Ratna didi had also to discontinue her education because of unpaid fees. Ratna therefore could not complete her class ten.

But having lack of money in his growing up years gave birth to a stubbornness in Jitu's behavior slowly but steadily.

He stopped talking to his parents without cause. Even when the need arose he responded to them in mono syllables much to the annoyance of his dad. Only his mother and sister Ratna understood his deprivation and frustration. His mother however at best did try to fulfil Jitu's desires that were in her reach to the maximum. Even Ratna did help in satisfying her kid brother's wishes till the time she was not married away.

Jitu did come to know that his Ratna didi was now fully aware that her life would be miserable as her parents were without money and she had dreams to fulfill . So he saw her become friends with an unknown boy probably of her age. Then one day she was caught talking to this boy named Pallab. She was severely beaten by her dad and Jitu was told to keep a tab on the activities of his elder sister and report any untoward incident. Jitu loved his sister so he never reported what he saw. On the contrary he became a messenger boy between his sister and her friend. For doing this he became their object of love and was gratified by them.

Pallab was a young man of much enterprise and dynamism and that, was the need of the hour. He had a certain infectious vibrance in his character that easily caught on. Jitu's, Ratna didi was bowled over by this infectious dynamism of Pallab. Jitu did not know what work Pallab did or what was his family background or finances were , but Jitu knew him to be a big hearted man. Because whenever Pallab came he brought some unique gifts which made Jitu 's heart light and bouncy. Even his mother liked Pallab. Jitu slowly began to understand the power of money.

Then one day his Ratna didi was no where to be found. She did not return for a few days probably a week. Jitu's dad went to the Police station for writing a complain.

The Police tracked Ratna in a few days and brought her home. But now she had vermillion in her hair's parting means she had secretly married some one. The some one was no one other than Pallab. Jitu 's parents were furious but Police said they couldn't take any action as both are adults and the marriage has been done with consent.

Then slowly Jitu realised further what money could buy . He came to know that if his parents were with money, then they could influence the Police to file a case against Pallab. Or they could hire a lawyer to file a suit against Pallab and his family. This Jitu had heard over numerous conversations regarding the marriage.

Later Jitu came to know that his brother in law was the son of a businessman and monetary wise they were quite well off. Pallab after his marriage to Ratna started off a new business of an eatery in her name because he loved her very much . Ratna was known to be a good cook and she always wanted to start her own eatery but lack of money had quashed her dream always. But now well to do Pallab on her side, Ratna floated her new eatery business. Ratna proved to be a deft business person. After few months of running her business, she had sufficient money with her with which she opened a grocery shop for her mother and stocked it up well so that consumers would be attracted fast. The grocery shop became an instant hit.

Now, there was sufficient money in the household and Jitu's dad was happy. He pardoned the secret wedding of his daughter with Pallab.

Money power was talking and doing wonders, Jitu realised. Till now Jitu had struggled to keep his education life alive somehow by doing odd jobs and borrowing and through his mother's meagre income.

But now his school completed somehow, he thought of studying financial management. Because Jitu knew to manage finances and earn a good income, he only had to take the help of the study of business management. He had heard of campus placements and dream salaries with six - seven figures take home. The money power was now Jitu's driving force.
