2:00 PM

28-year-old famous celebrity model Shri Devi left the house to pick up her younger daughter from school. But after she left, a few minutes later, Shri Devi’s husband, Adhithya, received a letter from that school, and the school management who spoke in that said, “Sir. The school year is over. But no one came to pick up your daughter.”

Immediately, in confusion, Adhithya said, “Sir. Her mother came there to pick up my daughter.” He said, “I will look after that, sir.” After hanging up the phone, Adhithya immediately called Shri Devi. But her phone was switched off.

Now, Adhithya called Shri Devi’s friends and family. He asked, “Whether Shri Devi come there?” But everyone said, “She didn’t come here. We didn’t see her.”

Now Adhithya went to the school and picked up his daughter. He went straight to the police station and made a missing complaint. Adhithya is a big businessman in Chennai. Since he went and made the complaint, the police immediately started the investigation.

THREE DAYS LATER

February 24, 2023

Three days later, ACP Krishna started the investigation. His team searched a house in a remote area of Chennai regarding this case. The scene in which Krishna’s team went inside the house and saw not only Krishna and his team but the whole people of Chennai was shattered by it.

FEW DAYS BACK

In July 1994, Shri Devi was born into a rich family. She started her career as a small Instagram model. In a few days, with good fame, she became one of the top models in Tamil Nadu. Featuring on the cover pages of famous top magazines and going as a chief guest on a lot of important shows, like this, she was at her peak in her career. At the same time, in 2016, she married Adhithya, owner of Big Soup Noodle Restaurant, and they had two children.

At this time, when Shri Devi’s career and personal life were in good balance, he went missing.

PRESENT

“Sir.” A constable called Krishna, who’s sitting on a sofa, is thinking about that case. As he called, Krishna woke up.

Krishna checked whether Shri Devi had any professional threats with the help of his constables. But when he looked, she didn’t have any problem with that. Next, his team saw whether they had any problems between Shri Devi and Adhithya in their family. But Krishna came to know that there was also no problem.

Krishna thought that someone from outside had kidnapped Shri Devi. He started checking Shri Devi’s house's CCTV footage. In that, he came to know that Shri Devi went in a 7-seat Toyota car to pick up her daughter. Krishna's team started investigating Shri Devi’s personal driver, Shaik Sulaiman.

Sulaiman has been Shri Devi’s close friend since her school days. Before getting married to Adhithya in 2016, in 2012, when Shri Devi was 18 years old, she fell in love with her high school friend Afsal Ahmed. But, due to some reason, after three years, both of them broke up. Even though they ended their relationship, Shri Devi was in close contact with Shaik Sulaiman.

Not only Sulaiman, She had very close contact with his whole family. Since he didn’t get a proper job, Shri Devi set up a pancake business for him and made him her personal driver to look after him. Since her personal driver is Shaik Sulaiman, Krishna investigated him about Shri Devi.

But Sulaiman said, “Sir. I didn’t drive that day.” He also said, “I finally saw Shri Devi on February 20, and after that, I didn’t see her, sir.”

In the first stage of the investigation, what was uncomfortable for Krishna was that, in Shaik Sulaiman, his father Ibrahim, and his mother Zareena’s faces, there was no fear or sadness about Shri Devi’s disappearance. At the same time, Shri Devi’s ex-lover, Afsal Ahmed, was also missing. When they asked Afsal Sulaiman’s family, they casually said that they hadn’t seen him and didn’t know about his whereabouts.

Krishna became strongly suspicious of Sulaiman’s family. Now he tracked the GPS location of the car in which Shri Devi went. Krishna’s team started checking all the CCTV footage on the way in which the car went, as per his instructions. When they checked the CCTV footage, Shri Devi’s car, without going in the direction of her daughter’s school, went near a remote village in Thiruvallur.

When the team checked all the CCTV footage in the village, they got a big breakthrough. Near the village cemetery, they got CCTV footage of Sulaiman walking with something in his hand.

When Krishna asked Shaik Sulaiman about this, he said, “It’s not me. I didn’t do anything. There is nothing between me and this case.”

Krishna started searching the entire village to learn about Shri Devi’s whereabouts. In the police search, outside an old apartment in the village, like the Toyota car in which Shri Devi last went, Krishna’s team saw a Toyota car standing outside the apartment. For the same apartment two weeks before a man newly rented there.

The neighbors said to Krishna, “The activity of that person was suspicious, sir. To prevent people from seeing what is happening inside that apartment, all the windows and doors were sealed with black color tape.” Now Krishna broke the door and started searching inside the house.

When Krishna went inside, a stinking smell started to come. His team noticed a strange thing inside the house. There is no furniture or necessary things in that house like others. Instead, there was an electric saw, a meat mincer used in big meat factories, a chopper, and a lot of products to dispose of meat.

Krishna thought something was wrong. Next, a big shock was waiting for him in the kitchen. In the house kitchen, soup was boiling in two big vessels. When he went close, he came to know that it was a soup consisting of vegetables and meat. But when Krishna checked it keenly, he noticed an important thing.

The meat that was boiling in the soup was not animal meat. It was human meat. In between the chopped human meats in the bowl, they saw a human skull boiling in between them. When Krishna properly searched that house, inside the fridge, two chopped human legs were found.

Krishna sent those legs and the meat found in the soup to the DNA test. In that DNA test with the tooth found in the soup, he came to know that the boiling parts in the soup belonged to the missing Shri Devi. Through the investigation, Krishna’s team found out who came to rent that house. That person is none other than Shri Devi’s ex-boyfriend, Afsal Ahmed.

On February 25, 2023, Krishna arrested Shaik Sulaiman, Ibrahim, and Zareena Ibrahim. He took all three of them into custody. On the same day, Shri Devi’s ex-boyfriend Afsal Ahmed and Krishna’s teammate Inspector Muhammad Rasil arrested him when he tried to escape Chennai through a speedboat.

Looking at the family of Shaik Sulaiman and Afsal Ahmed, Krishna said, “Now, I want to know two things. First, why do you do this? Second. How did you do it?”

After hours of investigation, Sulaiman and Afsal’s family, knowing that there was no other choice, accepted all the crimes and started to confess what happened that day.

FEW MONTHS BACK

Shri Devi looked after her friend Shaik Sulaiman and her ex-boyfriend Afsal’s family. She took care of all their expenses. Not only the day-to-day expenses, she also looked after their luxury expenses, like the pub, club, and spa. At one stage, Shri Devi bought a luxury apartment worth 10 crore rupees in ECR's main city under the name of Sulaiman’s father. She made the whole of Sulaiman and Afsal’s family stay there. Like this, the whole Sulaiman and Afsal families enjoyed their luxurious lives with the help of Shri Devi.

At one stage, Shri Devi felt that Sulaiman and Afsal’s family were using her. She decided to sell the luxurious house she bought for the Sulaiman and Afsal families. She asked their family to vacate it.

“I will buy another apartment instead of this,” said Shri Devi. But the Sulaiman-Afsal family didn’t like that Shri Devi asked for the house back.

Sulaiman thought, “If we give the house like Shri Devi asked, Shri Devi will stop doing what she is doing for the family.” He and his family thought they couldn’t live that luxurious life here and made a plan with Afsal Ahmed. The plan is to kill Shri Devi.

Sulaiman’s family, who planned to murder her, thought they could somehow murder her. But when they thought of how to dispose of her body, Afsal’s father, Ahmed Abdullah, came up with an idea. Ahmed used to be a police officer but resigned after that. Because when he was a police officer, he resigned for raping a girl.

“After killing Shri Devi, we should take her body secretly into an apartment. In that apartment, chop Shri Devi’s body into small parts. Then, we should make a soup and drink it. No one can find Shri Devi’s body.” Ahmed said. He added, “Even if police find that soup, the body parts will be well boiled. So they can’t find whose body that is. We can go with this plan.” Similarly, he rented an apartment, and to chop Shri Devi’s body, he bought an electric saw, meat mincer, and chopper and kept them in that house.

Now Sulaiman’s family, who did everything perfectly according to the plan, started to wait for the day to kill Shri Devi. On February 21, Shri Devi called Shaik Sulaiman. She asked him to bring the car.

Sulaiman’s family, who thought this was the right time, decided to execute their plan that day itself. Sulaiman casually went and picked up Shri Devi as usual.

A few minutes after they took the car, Shri Devi noticed that the car was not going on the school route. She asked Sulaiman, “Why are you going in another direction, da?” Without answering her, he went and stopped the car near a tunnel.

Now Afsal boarded the backseat of the car. Shri Devi, who felt something was going to go wrong, got into an argument. She started to scream and asked him to get out of the car.

In a few minutes, her screaming stopped. Because the next second she screamed with a sharp object, and her skull was broken. It was done by Afsal. He strongly attacked Shri Devi. There was a 6 cm-deep hole in Shri Devi’s skull. That much, he attacked her. Shri Devi died in the car itself.

After that, they took Shri Devi’s body to the apartment. The whole Sulaiman-Afsal family was involved in disposing of her body. They chopped Shri Devi’s hand, leg, and head with an electric saw. After that, with a meat mincer and chopper, they chopped it and made a soup. But before disposing of Shri Devi’s body fully, they were caught by Krishna.

Sulaiman, Afsal, and their family—all three of them—were arrested for murdering Shri Devi. Zareena and Afsal’s mother, who helped Afsal escape, were arrested for helping with the murder. They were given a death sentence by the High Court of Madras. Opposing this punishment, they appealed to the Supreme Court, where the death sentence was converted to a life sentence.

Angered by this judgment, Adhithya said to the media: “Supreme court can change their name as slaves of bastards, murderers, and traitors. Those judges are the sons of prostitutes."This angered the judges of the Supreme Court. They filed a defamation case against him.

EPILOGUE

“When we look at this type of incident, I remember what the superstar said. What does that mean? You can be a good person. But you should not be too good. Even after Shri Devi came to know about the Sulaiman-Afsal family, I think she should not have given them this much space. We cannot say who will change at what time.
