Mistakes

Mistakes

My little sister got a haircut yesterday. What does a child know about hairstyles anyway- she's six years old- we thought and hence we didn't ask her opinion. When she got home from the saloon and tried combing her hair, she screamed, "Take me back to the barber." I ran to her to find her trying to comb but couldn't as her hair were so short that the comb couldn't run through them. "Why do you wanna go back to the barber?" I asked.

"I need him to paste my hair back! I don't like the way they are," she explained.

That six-year-old might not have a sense of fashion but she did have an opinion. After hours of crying and screaming and laughing, we made her understand that it was impossible to paste hair. Like most mistakes in our lives, a barber's mistakes are also unfixable, except the latter mistakes fade away when hair grows back but until then we have to live with it. I realised our mistakes are also the same, we have to live with them, until we grow to live past them and thereby learning a lesson.
