Man Of The Match

Kisan was a shrewd batsman who got a chance to be part of Rajasthan royals in Ipl. In initial matches he didn't get a chance in playing 11. His family members and friends often looked at playing 11 of his team before the match. If they couldn't find his name they would not see the match. His team could not perform well due to poor batting line up. They lose first four matches decisively. As a result captain decided to change batting order of the team. Kisan was included in the team for 5th match. He called his mother to inform the happy news but his uncle took the phone instead of his mother and he said: "Your mother is admitted in the hospital.There is a need of 1 lakh rupees for her surgery for spinal chord." After hearing this Kisan was very sad and he was thinking how can he get 1 lakh rupees at the moment. Soon an idea came to his mind that if he achieves man of the match award so that he could get 1 lakh rupees cash.

The match started, his team won the toss and choose to field. The opponent team's opening batsman Daren and Sanjay gave a good opening for their team. Daren's wicket was gone after her he scored his half century.Soon Sanjay took control of the game. By scoring 150 for his team he helped his team to get a big total of 250 runs in 20 overs. Sadness crept on Kisan as there chance to win in the game is comparatively less. Before bating of Rajasthan royals started Kisan became the opening batsman. There was an aggressive performance from his part but his team mates failed to support him but his aggressiveness could not be stopped. With just 29 balls he scored his maiden century but at that time 8 wickets were gone for his team and they needed to 72 runs from 36 balls. At last overs he began to hit big shots in extra -ordinary angles. Last over they 24 runs. Kisan partner was there on the strike and Kisan was saying to him take single and get him on the strike. The first ball of the was a wicket which left only one man to come for Rajasthan. The next batsman could not make any runs for the next two balls then after taking a risky single kisan was on the strike. Now 23 runs were needed in 2 balls. Opponent team members started to celebrate but Kisan didn't loose hope. He hit back to back sixes in 2 balls and prayed that his last ball should be a no ball. To everyone's surprise he pleaded to captain to take a review checking whether the last ball was no ball or not. When his plea was rejected he kneeled down on the ground and cried.

By seeing this Sanjay came to console him. At that time he said with sad tone: " You would be the man of the match. I could not be it. Today I played for my mam. If I would have become man of the match l could have managed 1 lakh for her operation."

Sanjay:"Don't worry my brother. If I am the man of the match. I will give you my cash price."

After hearing this Kisangave a warm hug to Sanjay. When he was about to send the money a phone call came:"Brother our mother passed away." The news shattered Kisan. After sometime a video message of his mother came:" betta, I've seen your performance and felt very happy. Really you performed for your mother. If this mother is not there also don't feel down.
